I am not listening to anything right now. Can I post that? Seriously, I normally don't go on site whilst listening to music. Sometimes I do, but often not.

The Snake - This is by The Cult off of Rare Cult volume 1. There are so many great songs off of that box set!

Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People
'Ratts Of The Capital'

I heard this song described as "death-explosion-rock" once. How could you not like that?

Excellent. I'm being played in three different countries simultaneously.
I'm inflicting Mogwai's 'Come On Die Young' on my office.

Something monotonous, all at one pace, head down, 'chugga chugga chugga' rock. I dunno, just not this good really.

I too enjoyed Surfer's comp in a very "alright motherfuckers, look the fuck out" sort of way, but this is for another thread.

Apl's 3-CD mix kept me awake last night on the 2 hour drive back from the Slint show in Louisville and this morning's drive to work was punctuated by Slint's second album "Spiderland".

Nay, I shall not become a math-rocker, lest I lose whatever cred i may have accumulated. I shall, however, indulge the side of my brain that enjoys heavy, arty head-bangery in the in the ancient riffings of Slint.

Thank you thank you.

And beware of the math-rock, totally snuck up on me and now I'm in danger of really loving the stuff.

There isn't one in the genre mix. Think it's one from the fancy USA only mix swap.

Pity - I'd probably have got a little too excited over that one.

Oh and after listening to the wonderfulness of both of Mike's mixes I've now stuck Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine on for a bit of balance.

Add to that the fact that I've probably had too much coffee again and there's a strong chance I'm going to trash my desk if I don't go home soon.
