I'm listening to the soundtrack for The Proposition. The music was written by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis of the Dirty Three, and as such is blinkin' beautiful. Watch out for the whispery bits if you see the film though, that's just weird.

The newest Frank Black podcast

Since I already knew the "new Pixies song" thing was an April Fool's joke, maybe I'm not getting as much out of it as I otherwise would. It's still pretty cool, though.

It is my opinion that women have absolutely no business being lead vocalists. I just don't believe 'em. Never will. Kinda like a female reporting on the sidelines of an NFL game. Just stop.

That said, The Little Willies come close to changing my mind if not for just a second. Cool record. Great tele sounds.

Oh, cheese. Wonderful cheese. I love you.

Oh, I love the lead vocals. It's the ordinary conversation that you can't trust. Afterall, the term "virtue" is from Greek for "manliness".

A version of "Tossed" with lyrics

There was a time when I'd pretty much only listen to male musicians, but I've been expanding my horizons in terms of female vocalists as of late.
