Pour rester dans l'indie made in France, vous connaissez les Roadrunners et Frandol?

Les Roadrunners ont fait quelques machins sympa sans plus, avant de pondre deux albums très chouettes, dont celui-ci (leur dernier), sorti en 95:



Depuis, donc, leur leader a commencé une carrière solo sous le nom de Frandol. Il fait un rock assez ludique et surréaliste, que j'aime assez. Je pense à lui car je suis récemment tombé sur une interview (de 2002) où un journaliste le compare à FB:

- On arrive à ce premier album de Frandol, qui me fait penser au premier album de Franck Black. (...)

- Je suis fort flatté car j'adore l'animal et encore plus son premier album... Et puis chez les Pixies c'était surtout Franck Black et chez les Roadrunners, c'était surtout... Frandol. Je le dis, ça fait un peu "je m'la joue" mais bon...

A part ça, je viens de remarquer que mine de rien j'approche doucement des 2000 posts, ce qui n'est pas rien quand même.

Je ne connais les Roadrunners que de nom, mais la référence à Frank donne envie. Je ne savais pas que le leader avait entamé une carrière solo.

Et Planète Zen vous connaissez? C'était un groupe des années 90, ils ont sortit deux ou trois albums, dont un que j'ai en k7 (toute pourrie encore une fois) et qui est vraiment très bon. C'est un trio avec une fille qui chante. Le premier morceau de l'album s'appelle "Charlie The Spacedriver", et est dédié à Frank Black, et il y a aussi une reprise du "Denis" de Blondie sur ce même album.
Malheureusement impossible à retrouver en CD.

Je crois que le guitariste a ensuite intégré ce groupe rock electro Telepopmusik
