Great album !
And very beautiful cover of "Mr. Grieves" !

Very good, those guys. I like the cover, but I find it's a little too long for an a capella version.

Oh my. You really think so? I was quite surprised by pitchfork's rating by it, but it's certainly not shit, that's for sure.

I'm listening to the Futureheads. Now, THEY are overrated. I'm totally unimpressed so far. First impressions, mind you.

I'm on Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, I See A Darkness, song of same name.

Good one Wilhelm, tis cool. I think I like this version even better than the Johnny Cash cover.

Has anyone else noticed that Charles completely butchered the lyrics when the Pixies covered it?

Toots and The Maytals. I was quite shocked to see them playing with the Pixies in Washington.

The Black Keys thickfreakness and Tyrannasauraus(sp) Hives

The Hives were great on Letterman last week. He was clearly blown away and spent about a min or so afterward talking about how great there performance was.

Gravenhurst "Flashing Seasons"

Pretty cool harmonies and environment,
but wish he would sing more in tune and create more friendlier melodies.

I rate it: 7/10
Sound: acoustic folk and western by some alterna-dude.
Sounds like: For Stars + Elliot Smith + Wine and Iron + Sufjan Stevens

Is it any good Simon? I tried listening to Aw C'mon, No You C'mon and I was bored with it.

I'm listening to The Plastic Constellation, 3 songs I've downloaded. I must get the whole record. What I'm hearing is very good.

Llama Farmers.

I received a record from them when I was a music journalist for my Uni's newspaper, and liked it a lot. Very fresh and simple, especially this song, "Snow White", which reminds me of my ex-gf.

Anyone knows what happened to them? You Englanders?

In the Fishtank 11: The Black Heart Procession and Solbakken

I'm really enjoying this -just got it today. Has some Calexico, Black Heart Procession (obviously), Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy, some Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and some Rachel's feel to it as well.

I'll be looking into Solbakken - seems to be a very good Dutch band that's been around for a long while.
