At this exact second I'm listening to Hurt by NIN. That's what inspired the Industrial Music topic. But mostly I've been listening to New Order, Chris Bell, Lou Reed's New York album.

Look at my signature. I've been listening to this song for two days non stop.
I'm going slightly mad.
It's our tradition to control, Like Erich Honecker and Helmut Kohl, From the Ukraine to the Rhône. Sweet home über alles, Lord, I'm coming home. So come on, Sugar Daddy, bring me home. |

I love these threads. I'm listening to Alicia Keys on Later With Jools Holland. Hmm. Actually, they just had Rufus Wainwright on, which was cool, and Devendra Banhart, who was very mysterious but cool. I was given a copy of his album, but my CD player won't play it and its driving me nuts!

mad tv is on in the background now, but i've been obsessing on doolittle for a week now, riding in the car to the guitar doctor thru my ghetto neighborhood with the windows down, brothers looking on curiously as frank black's screech pours from my car.
warm wishes and fond regards,
betty |

Jaysus, I love that New York album! Also, that bit you're quoting from Daydream Nation is one of my favorite moments on the album.
Right now I'm listening to Damien Rice, I put it in when I went to bed last night so it was still in the cd player.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is quite a spectacular musical. And I thought it was far better than Velvet Goldmine.

Listening to EA Sports' MVP 2004 commentators. I played Alec Eiffel on this supersweet jukebox at the bar tonight though. It plays any song that it can download, hence 50 Pixies songs. Very nice. |

No way. She had that song Sk8er Boi. An artist can't suck when they have a song title written as like it's in marker on the front of their junior high trapper keeper.
You know I kid you. Much sarcasm.

modest mouse! my new favourite band (again)! saw they are touring supporting some shitty band soon, can't remember what they're called, but i'm going to see them!
good news!
Is it like today? Oh, oh, oh-oh. Then there followed days with kings, empires and revolutions. blood just looks the same when you open the veins. sometimes it was faith, power or reason as the cornerstone. but the furrowed brow has never left his face. he said, how did it come to this?
