I know absolutely nothing about Modest Mouse. I ordered one of their albums, it was "Important..." something, I don't remember the title. How is that one?
Also, I know absolutely nothing about Built To Spill. What album should I start off with?

I quit being into new music about 8 years ago, so I'm trying to start getting into some bands again.

I am a man with 3 fingers...but that doesn't count my index finger nor my thumb.

Van Lear Rose by Loretta Lynn - produced by Jack White. Its great. If you can appreciate classic country (Cash, HWilliams, etc) then you will love this disc.

Youth and Young Manhood by Kings of Leon - surpised by how much I like this disc and band.

Dylan Bootleg Series 1966 Manchester - this is the tour when Dylan plugged in halfway through the show and the folk-nazi crowd shouts him down and calls him sellout and Judas. Great disc.

Bows and Arrows by the Walkmen - Great disc IMO.

6/7 of the Disclive Pixies discs - I'm lovin these...

I saw Electrelane last December supporting !!! (although they sucked, I was there to see M83).
They were pretty cool, and dead cute, which isn't the point...
Kind of spiky alt.rock, with the occasional sax.
Good show.
I'm tempted to get their new album The Power Out, have you heard it?

I had a free ticket to go see them last month, but I was working. I heard lots of good stuff about them. I saw Lady Tron live and they really rocked in an electronic noise type way (they're dead cute as well), and have been meaning to get their album for ages. M83 sound good from the single I've heard.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Willy and the Poor Boys (Short but sweet)
