you can vote for your fave Pixies song and from that same article...
"Remember you can hear your favourite Pixies songs at 'Death To The Pixies', a special club night to celebrate the band's return, on Saturday May 29, 9pm-3am at Sahara Nights in London (two minutes from King's Cross station)."
sounds cool. i won't be about though... anyone thinking of going?

but would they play like 2 Pixies songs an hour, or entirely Pixies songs - cause the former would bite.

Shouldn't they have called it 'Life to the Pixies' or something?
Why is 'monosyllabic' such a long word? |

Simon, is this what happens at the Morrissey nights at S&G??? I always assumed it was nothing but his solo work and The Smiths.

i've never been. but i've been to other nights for a particular band, and heard about the smiths nights, and the belle and sebastian nights they sometimes had too... yes, they play 2-3 songs by the band every hour, the rest is just similar type indie stuff...

Not sure if anyone noticed, but there was an item on NME.com before this about the club night - it basically said if you mailed here deathtothepixies2004@yahoo.co.uk and asked you could get cheaper admission on the night. I mailed and got a nice reply (from Michael at 'Field Hockey Player Promotions'!) promising £3 'guest list' entry and an 'I love the Pixies' goody bag (intrigued by that have to say). The mail also said that due to venue capacity, only one guest list admission per mail could be promised so to pass the word about. This was a good few weeks ago, but probably still worth mailing...
