It's hard to spell your own oder, I mean smell. :)
Why is 'monosyllabic' such a long word? |

Do you use, spray, roll-on, anti-perspirant stick, or deodorant stick?
I am a man with 3 fingers...but that doesn't count my index finger nor my thumb. |

This is worse, Floop. I ran out yesterday, and forgot to pick up some, so this is day 2. I actually can't smell a difference either despite my best efforts. But I don't really sweat much sitting in my office or even working in the lab...
My socks are squeaky clean.

anti-perspirant scares me, it's the "aluminum hydroxyde - 30%".

At home I have one of those deodorant sticks made of mineral salts. You put it under the running water and then rub it on your pits. It has absolutely no smell and works better than the Mennen Speedstick I used for 20 years. Anyway, I've been using this mineral stick for a year now and not even 1/3 of it is gone. Amazing. |

i usually get really paranoid when i forget to put deoderant on... so much so i probably get slightly hotter than usual and need the deoderant more... in fact when i used to work last year, it got really hot in the offices, if i ever forgot to put any on, i'd start to smell a bit by mid-day... so i started actually keeping a can in my bag, just in case.
i don't smell normally though.
Is it like today? Oh, oh, oh-oh. Then there followed days with kings, empires and revolutions. blood just looks the same when you open the veins. sometimes it was faith, power or reason as the cornerstone. but the furrowed brow has never left his face. he said, how did it come to this?

Today at work a co-worker exclaimed, completely out-of-the-blue, "Someone ain't Sure today!"

A skitzo walked into our building today and threatened to hit me.
He was pretty funky smelling.

I'm a Sure man, have to use it here in China as I sweat like a jailhouse piggy when I am teaching.... the fucked up thing is that the Chinese don't really need to use deodorant (although 99% of them could do with oral deodorant) so it is not widely available here. I have to get it shipped over from the UK, and if I go without then things get very smelly as this place gets very hot.

Funny this should come up now. I just ran out the other day and forgot to buy some for a few days. Only I DID notice at work, and had to go buy some. It was pretty gross. I just really hope no one else noticed. |

hey Stuart, a friend of mine and his wife traveled through China a year ago (on this worldwide trip). they said that everyone on the trains is constantly hacking up spit in their throats, and then actually spitting, inside the train. and on the streets etc.. is that true? he said it was this constant hacking sound. i imagine that might not be appetizing. |

I keep a spare deodorant stick in my desk for those forgetful days. I only use it once every few months but it was worth it. |

I can't fucking stand people with horrible breath, being in sales. Some people just smell like they ate a heaping bowl of shit before they came and talked to me.
As far as deoderant goes, I wear Old Spice High Endurance Fresh scent...it's good stuff. Some deoderant used to give me rashes or irritate my pits or something...or didn't stop me from sweating...this is really good stuff. I bought a 3 pack of the large sticks from Costco. This shit lasts forever! I'm gonna have enough to last me for like, 3 years it seems.

I hate anti-perspirent. If I put on too little, I feel uncomfortable. If I put on too much, I'm comfortable until it starts dripping or until it stains my t-shirt. :( |

In France, we don't take showers, that is why deodorant is so useful. You probably took a shower, that is why you don't notice the difference. You Americans are so stupid!

Man your mate ain't joking, but it isn't confined to trains, it's everywhere, on the street, in restaurants everywhere. Even during SARS (I shouldn't speak to soon as SARS is back with a vengeance) people were still gobbing everywhere... it's disgusting, really. The first sound that I heard after arriving here two years ago was some cunt hocking up at the airport.... but in fairness this isn't just confined to the PRC... Taiwan and Korea are supposed to be like this also.
On another note, my best mate is rumored to not be able to make it to my Beijing wedding in August, this is on the eve of my Chinese wedding tomorrow and my 28th birthday..... man I'm fucking gutted!

the spitting thing is horrible though, i really hate people spitting, even over there, when people aren't doing it all the time, it's a horrible thing.
