My tickets have been printed, and they will be shipped shortly.

Hi everyone  !!
Does anyone know how we can get the tickets sooner?
My email said they will be getting here "shortly" what ever that means... I definately don't want to wait 'till Sept b/c I am selling 4 of my tix @ face value to prozacrat and josh's friend.
Hey...is anyone else getting nervious about getting a ticket tommorow when they go on sale?? I've seen and heard a lot more promotions for this show than the 11/11...the TM alert even worked this time and I got 2 emails about the sale.
If I can buy tickets... I will buy 4 and trade 2 as long as they are floor or way in the back...and trade 'em here... anyone else buying extras?

2 of my balconny: Depending on where yours are I will trade my 2 balc with you and sell them here @ face value...

Yeah!!! I got two floor tickets. (I could only get two cuz my credit card is close to the limit) Whopeee!
Josh...that is cool.  I just hope the tickets get here soon... I might check the mail now and see if the tix and the DVD came. Thanks for your offer about Grumpy's... we have to take off pretty soon but hopefully those tix will get here soon and then we can meet up! |

no, my tix were $45.50 after fees for The Pixies :)
i was joking, cuz tickets for The Darkness at Roy Wilkins in June are on sale at the same time, and their $24.50 ticket comes to $38.50 after fees. fuck i wouldn't even pay $15 for that shit, lol. |

i'm seeing them on Tue :)
i've seen them every time they've played here in MN, except this last one with John Mayer, know way was i paying to see that tool (tho i did in 02, but Martin Sexton was w/ them as well :), and it was at Northrup instead of Xcel.
gotta say i haven't quite enjoyed them nearly as much as the Fine Line show i saw in 99, but their show at the Zoo last summer was prolly my fave out of the 6-7 times i've seen em.
i contemplated not going to this one, simply because their music isn't exactly well suited to Roy Wilkins, but i've seen em at Xcel (opening for BNL (long story, i left the second Guster left the stage), and they filled that space better than i'd ever imagined, so who knows. but for $22 or $24 or what it is (we just got em at the box, it hasn't sold out), they're one of my fave live bands to see, just because i have so much damn fun at their shows.
i was maybe going to wait and see em w/ Ben Folds & Rufus Wainwright this summer, but the closest that's coming is Milwaukee.

That is so cool! My little bro turned me on to them. He liked them and booked them to play at his fraternity party...don't know exactly when but it would be back around '96 I am guessing...the bongos just brought it over the top. I have only seen them that once but I would like to see them again. Thanks for the info about this summer... i guess if i am going to catch them here I better do it now.
I might be tempted to go there and see if they are selling tickets for cheap if i go after the opening band starts...sometimes i have gotten some good deals that way...

I got the DVD today on the mail, but now, I need some advice from you, people of the forum... This is serious stuff so please, don't laugh...
I have the DVD in front of me and my girlfriend said that she wanna watch it w/me, otherwise our relationship is over. I wanna watch it, I'm dieying for it. So.. what should I do:
1o. Rip the plastic carefully, watch it, and then fake I'm seeing it for the 1st time w/her.
2o. Watch it and tell her... will she understand?
3o. Get another copy, watch it, then sell it...
Any suggestions?
ps. DG, sell your balcony ones so I can sell u mine... I'll need to find the email I got from ticketmaster w/its prize... I need to install outlook again... damn, where's that CD... where's my mind...

As far as the DVD goes... is she just wanting you to wait to watch it and you want to watch it now?? If she just wants to watch it later, i would wait :) If it makes you feel better A-zon still hasn't sent mine to me yet :)
I also asked my husband and he says if she just doesn't want you to watch it period that's more serious. I would ask her why she doesn't want to watch it and then go from there. :) Hope this helps...if you do watch it let me know how it is in general...but no details :) |
