I'm glad this forum exists, otherwise I never would have met the most wonderful girl in the world, Melanie. It's home to a lot of good conversation and a lot of good people as well. It hasn't always been tops, no doubt, but it's come through and I still read on a daily basis.

this forum has saved me during the 6 months i have worked for the BBC.
if i didn't have the forum to occupy my days i think i might just have committed a mass murder of all the useless wankers who work here.
but alas, my contract ends next week, so i dare say my presence at these wondrous pages will dwindle....
hold back the tears everyone.
..now if only i could reach the 1000 in 4 days..

I think the guys who set up and maintain this site should give themselves a big pat on the back. I have been an active internet user since about 1995ish and this is the first forum I have frequented with any kind of consistency. A lot of the web space out there is dross (like most of the world actually, whether you're talking about movies, music, television, books, politicians, shops - I could go on for ages!). This huge mass of mediocre and sub-medicore flotsam and jetsam does mean that the good examples (such as FB.net) stand out proud.
Hats off to the forum members also - you're a damn fine bunch of people. Never met any of you and probably never will but you keep me muchly entertained. Long live the yellow orange debates!
No reason to change my views! You are all lovely lovely people. However my wife now thinks I am a sad nerdy forum geek.

Sometimes I want to leave b/c I get aggrivated with all the junky posts or all the bickering, but then I just take a break or ignore certain threads. It's gotten to the point where I avoid whole areas now, which is okay since everything is in such (Pixies!) turmoil.

I've never signed up on internet forums before this because I once read that forums are infested with 12 year olds who have just learned to type the word FUCK. Well this forum surely proves that point wrong. This is a great forum and I'm addicted (and often in trouble: "you don't pay me any attention, it's just you and your computer all the time...........")
