I really don't like "tame". It almost seems like the soft/loud formula is too obvious, as though it were the entire purpose of the song. That and the lyrics. Virtually no tune.

god I must be a freak, tonys theme is one of my favourite pixies songs, and I love stormy weather, I do however dislike planet of sound.

I reakon the worst Pixies song would be Dig For Fire, the first and only time the Pixies sold out to the popular market.

planet of sound sucks, i usually just skip it and go right to alec eiffel. dig for fire sounded corny to me the first time and kind of dated, i dont like how it starts, but it grows on you. silver and tony's theme both kinda sucks, although tony's theme would be a better song if it didnt have that fucking annoying "this is a song . . " intro. Yeah, Stormy Weather sucks too.

There's other songs that maybe dont blow my mind or rock me, but besides those few, the pixies bat a thousand

I think the spoken intro to "Tony's Theme" is probably the best part, actually.

I still can't see how people can not like Planet of Sound. I always considered it to be one of the greatest Pixies songs, a classis, if you will.

crackity jones just cannot get into it at all.

can't get into anything these days. Always on the peripheral. Always terrified, exhausted, annoyed, pissed, anxious, out of it-out of the loop, out of my mind, out of time.

Umm...first of all, I love The Navajo Know...Havalina is one of my favorite songs ever by anyone, and Stormy Weather is a great introduction to it. Actually there seems to be a lot of hate in general for Bossanova, which is my favorite album...I guess you guys just aren't into surf music?
Ironically, however, my least favorite Pixies song is Down to the Well (with Debaser close to that...yea, I said it).

I would have liked to answer "Bam Thwok", because it's the "reunion song", but really, I HATE "Dig For Fire", I hate everything on that one, the tune, Charles singing... EVERYTHING!!!

Old topic, but anyway, I've got a couple that are sort of equal at the bottom of my favourites list.

Distance Equals Rate Times Time
Space (I Believe In)
Theme From Narc

The Sad Punk would be down there too if it wasn't saved by the second half of the song.

Back to the topic : I often skip "Lovely Day", to me it's the weakest track on "Trompe Le Monde"

To me the first half of the song is almost unlistenable. The vocals just get on my nerves. It's like he's just screaming for the sake of it, and not because it actually adds anything to the song. The second half is beautiful though.
