I agree with this one as this is one of my faves by the Pixies. Followed by a close second of (same song) - 'Into the lights/Right outta that ship!!!' |

There are some moments. I like specially the end of "In Heaven" live (The Complete B Sides?). This is when BF screams out of his mind the last sentence and then says quietly to the crowd: "Thank You very much". Cobain ripped it later. Well, he ripped off many Pixies issues... |

dunno if it's my favourite moment, but it's still a funny and cool moment... it's when Charles starts singing too soon and he's like AAWWWWW CRAP! in Bone Machine. Anyone else notice that? It's from 2:31-2:35 and sort of faint amid all the noise. Always cool when they keep screw ups, it gives a song a more human + natural character. |

debaser. the work of the two guitars at the end of the song is gigantic. The arrengement of them are perfect and exciting.
palace of the brine. the very beginning, with strange sounds, until the start of the vocals. and the rest of the music also.
whre is my mind was brilliant for me, but unfortunetly i've started to get used with, and the mistery kind of desappear. i guess i have to get away of it for a little while. |

One...the name of the song escapes me, but frank says something like "I'm gonna sing a para--"...something something. Then it's like "HeeeeyHeeeyHeeeeyHeeHe's So HE'S SO!"...er, right, that one.
It's "I'm gonna sing the Perry Mason theme" which is what he sing's directly after.

Space I believe in: I do love it when he keeps his word and actually does sing the perry mason theme.
quote: "oh alexander i see you beneath the archway of aerodynamics"
Such a bizarre and lovely melody line in that part of Alec Eiffel. It sounds so wrong but so right. It almost sounds like a normal melody turned backward (like the Beatles' "Because", which was supposedly inspired by Beethoven played in reverse).
And another favorite moment--from All over the world: "better call the ranger...got a train derailment"

I've got a few... "Hey babe, how you doin'? Can I be your boy?" "Padria..." Kim's bass in "U-Mass" (the "April Birds and the May bee" line) "God is 7!!!!!!!" "You are the son of a motherfucker" "This is a song about something there..." Kim's vocal in "Down to the Well". Sexy...;) "...and then the next thing you know..." Joey's solo in "Planet of Sound" David's drums on "The Sad Punk" Frank's guitar on "Hey" Frank's vocal on "Something Against You" and the line "And I'm one happy PRICK!!"
I could go all fuckin' day with this one. Let's just say my favorite Pixies moment was when I discovered them. I think that's one we all can agree on. :)

Hi I have a few fav bits.
I agree that the "Everybody rock out" kicks ass. Intro to Bone Machine. Outro on No. 13 Baby. "and Mary ain't 'cha tired of this HUH is the sound...." from Hey "even i'll adore ya, my Velouria - ah -ah -ah -ah.." from Velouria "of the april birds and the may bee oh baby" from U Mass Just the way Gouge Away is put together, know what i mean?, it's just got such a cool structure and the guitars rock on it to!

When he screams TAME. I also like the way Planet of Sound ends and then Alec Eiffel starts almost immediately after. A great one-two punch. |

One of my favourite: "i bossanova with shooou.." and inmediately the begin of that kind of bossanova jam, mixed with esquizoid guitar and this tok tok behind, a classical sound of the brasilian rithm... i think black wants to say "YOU" and it means, all the lyric: i done this fuckin new rithm with you...

...hearing frank w/ the catholics up here (wa. state) about 6 years ago, first time hearing him...and he was so strung out from the tour and completely exhausted and packing up like his 6-million guitars after the show and we were all clamoring for a signature(s) and he was ignoring everyone yelling 'frank frank' and i waited for a quiet moment and said 'charles! i'm your number three fucking fan!" and he looked up, smiled, and signed the flyer for the show...i don't know nothin about birthin no babies and god(s) or goddesses, but mr black francis would have to be pretty high on the deity list in my book. :-)
