hey all,
i bought four winnipeg tix on ebay recently.
im an ol skool, hardcore pixies fan and i have been determined to find tickets to this show if i had to sell my soul....
ive never used ebay before, but in my nervous excitement i got over any hesitation and bid on some tickets listed by a seller out of york, england,
then i find this forum, and find some threads about people talking about this guys auctions and the fact that ticketmaster is trying to crack down on scalpers,
so now i have these tickets printed out, but im all nervous that they are possibly no good or that ive fallen for some sort of scam???
heres a link to another thread i just posted in, in which you guys are discussing this guy out of england: http://forum.frankblack.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5768
what do you guys think?
should i just chill, or should i be nervous, or am i just flat out screwed????
thanx, this site rocks!!!

You should get Saskatoon tickets just incase... hehe. Sort of an insurance policy. If the Winnipeg tickets work out then all the better. Seriously...

good call,
i blow glass for a living,
so i was thinking about following the tour from winnepeg back to vancouver city to city, selling my wares in the shops by day, and trying my best to get into each gig with whatever money or good karma i accumulated on the way
is saskatoon sold out yet??
winnipeg and vancouver were the two most important tickets for me,
but as long as i get into at least one show ill be a happy fan!!!
i just got outbid on an auction for some regina tickets, but with my current vibe on ebay auctions, im not rushing to bid on any more tickets til i figure out whether or not i got burned this first time,
c'est la vie, aaron |

I thought that there were only 4 tickets purchased from the U.K., and I thought I had already seen these listed. I would be highly skeptical of ticketfast tickets...or make sure you are first in line at the venue so yours get scanned first!! I like the idea of getting Saskatoon tickets also, at least you get to go to a show in case it doesn't work out for some reason... |

well i didnt mention that part of the reason im "sketchy" on this transaction is that a few days later i saw the same seller list the same tickets for almost twice the price! so i contacted the seller like i was a prospective buyer, not from the account i purchased the tickets from, and asked for detailed info on the seats he was listing...well, lo and behold they were my exact seats!!
so i contacted the seller again and was ever so polite asking if it was a "misunderstanding" that he listed the tickets again or what, and he replied promptly that it was an accident, that he had many tickets in that section and made a mistake, he told me of some of the other tickets he said he was still holding...
then, i find this forum, (thank god, real fans who are into it for the music not the money!!) and find you guys talking about this sellers listings, and lo and behold one of the links kimmy posted was to the tickets i had purchased!!!, EXCEPT, it was to a prior auction in which someone else had bid AND won!!!
so i start bugging out again!!! i contact the seller again and link him to the previous auction, and im just like, "yo, whats the deal with this, the tickets in this listing are the ones you sold me??!!!"
the seller promptly replies that the previous auction ended and the bidder didnt pay so he re-listed...
the one thing i can say, is that i emailed the seller like 4 times today, and he replied promply each time,
the final time he sensed my skepticism and offered a refund if i wasnt satisfied,
but i don't want a refund, i want TICKETS!!!!:p
stil sorta debating a refund, but most of me id just willing to take the leap of faith and drive all the way to winnipeg and hope for the best....
wish me luck,
aaron,
ps... when i get there i will prolly still have an "extra" ticket if my tickets are valid, lol, so if your stranded outside without a ticket, maybe fate will bring us together and we can all get down!!!!

I do a lot of ebay buying. I bought my Davis tickets on ebay (unfortunately). Go back to ebay and check the sellers rating. If it's up there don't sweat it too much. For a lot of these people, ebay is where they make their living. The reputation they develop on there, can make or break them. It's not worth it to cheat people if they want to continue to do business. |

right on thanx for the vote of confidence, he had a decent rating, no negative feedback!! i def checked that first...
thing that sucks is id really like to trade one or maybe two peg tickets(if a buddy cant go to the peg) for vancouver tix,
but no way im gonna offer a ticket im "unsure" of, so im holding off i guess,
might be a kick down to a lucky fan outside burton cummings if it comes down to it...
if its meant to be, i guess ill make inside....
