I'm from Mexico and I'm planning a trip to USA ONLY to see Pixies at Coachella. I was so naive thinking that I also could get a ticket for Freeborn Hall, as many of you I spent a lot of time at the website looking for tickets and I get... nothing

Ya I my b/f here. We had 3 phone lines and 1 internet connection going...NOTHING!! I heard from a guy with 2 extra tickets from a random forum I posted on. He said I could have them for $150 for the pair. Needless to say I took it. I just hope hes for real. Im a little nervous about it. Another guy tried to sell me 2 for $300. A little too rich for my blood. I dunno I havent paid yet so if anyone on here has extras which dont cost $150, please let me know. |

well, i had to pay a scalper to get one, but i guess here is the deal. like you all the website was totally crashed out EXCEPT if you knew the scalper trick. Evidently if you went into purchase.tickets.com with the id code it was smooth sailing. guess who knows this cause its there job, the scalpers. I noticed trying to backdoor this through some tickets.com venues after the fact today. So its a classic case of the scalpers laughing at us trying to go through the totally crashed tickets.com sight when people who knew what they were doing went in with ease through the backdoor. I guess this was group failure, we all spent weeks jabbering about this but none of us figured this out, or we all would have been in much better shape, ill accept some of the blame for being a dope and having to pay for it by buying from a scalper. |

My friend went to a tickets.com counter in some random supermarket in Redmond City (outside SF). The guy at the Wells fargo inside the store didn't even know there was a tickets.com counter there. She was first there and then went to get cash and when she got back there was someone else in line ahead of her. Since there were only teh two of them, she didn't make a "I was here first!" fuss. They were chatting about how much the tickets are going for for the other shows online and how she was going to get the max, even though she only needed 3. The guy decided to do that, too. So he got 6 (only needed 3) and when the guy clicked again to get tickets for my friend (10 seconds later) it was sold out!! She said you could see the little x's on the screen representing tickets just melt away.
Amazingly, the guy ahead of her immediately offered her his extra three tickets!!!!!! Unbelievable! So she scored 3 tickets for us! (Which was all we needed.) So unfortunately we don't have any extras. :( So I hate to brag, but thought it was a cool story anyway and just shows how incredibly fast they sold out! both my husband and mmy friend in Estonia who was trying for me failed. :( I think the tickets.com route sucked. These minor website sellers just aren't set up for such overload.
I am SOOO sorry to everyone who didn't get tickts. I know how you feel because that's how I felt last saturday. ugh. sucks. |

As far as ebay goes, I saw some scalpers that were selling tickets for 220 or so earlier today - not sure if they still have them. Google for the venue name, and some scalpers will show up.
See, for example: http://www.lestickets.com/v-buy.asp?v=602&b=Freeborn%20Hall
I (somehow) managed to get tickets online; luck and good timing I guess. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll have extras, but if I do, I may try to sell or trade them here. |

Hi All, I'm a long time pixies fan in seattle, this is my dream come true as it is everyone elses. I've been following the forum since the dates were announced but I missed a chance at all Northwest tickets because I was too late.
Luck smiled on me today and I was able to get tickets to Davis. I'd like to trade 2 davis tickets for 2 spokane. redwoodski at yahoo.com. |

Really, can we please confine the postings here to the ticket swapping group. LoneDurango, are you going to try to run this thing? |

RE: pool
Lonedurango told me he left this list. If no one else assumes responsibility, I will do it. Here is the last list available from lonedurango: lone durango (4) kottke (2) elevator lady (2) Erebus (1) pants (4) puckhead56 (3) pixie801 (3) darwin (4) oversight_failure (2) HashWax (2) formeremployee (2) EG (2) Mickey (3) tneff (2) astrocat (4) Jefrey (4) echo park (2) DrBone (?) sorrygoodfires (trade for spokane??) <--should he be included? johnny_4_president (2) langdonboom (?)
If you still need tickets, post to confirm. A simple post is all thats necessary, for example I would write "EG (2) confirmation".
After a week or so, I will compose the final list. Within that time, we should figure out a few questions;
1. Should original list be closed to people who jumped on board afterwards, or should we close at the day the tickets went on sale? 2. Should it be one ticket/person, or two?
FWIW, I think the original list should stand, or else include everone who posted before the tix went on sale. I also think we should give out tickets in pairs. I would rather see someone go with a friend instead of me going alone. What do you all think?
Lastley, those few blessed people who decided to donate extra tickets to the pool, please confirm how many you can donate. I think I can speak for everyone here with big THANK YOU.
Lets get this thing rolling, and hopefully we can get a few more people to see the pixies at Davis.

Darwin (1)
I vote for closing when the tickets went on sale. I think there were a few postings saying it was closed at that time. And I vote for no one getting more than 1 ticket. Spread the good fortune. |

Darwin, good point. For now, if everyone just says 1 ticket then we can decide later if there should be 2. |

I agree with Darwin, and think that, out of necessity, we will need to limit the tickets to 1 per person and then decide how they are to be distributed since it doesn't sound like there will be enough for everyone. I think a lottery would be fair. |

just curious, but how many people managed to score the 6 tickets we were all shooting for? i sure as heck tried to get six, thinking i'd bring the extras here, i'd've had four extras, unfortunately i couldn't get any. it looks like there are only 21 people on the "i need tickets" list, how many tickets are we talking about distributing from the "i've got extras to sell" pool? thanks, - johnny

RE: pool
Okay, sounds like the cut off should be the point of ticket sales, March 1st 10:00 pst.
The following people requested tickets before the cutoff. I will leave the number requested off, because it looks like 1 ticket per person is most popular way of distribution.

>>>Total original requests: 24 >>>Total confirmed requestS (*): 4
_________________ TICKETS AVAILABLE _________________ (1) zambaretzu (Please confirm if the ticket is available) (2) *puckhead56
>>>Available tickets confirmed (*): 2
Breakdown: 4 confirmed requests (24 original), 2 tickets for the pool.
So far its a 50% chance! Also, AbeScott, you didn't make the cutoff did you? If you didn't then we agreed its too late.
I'll post another update on friday. Hopefully there will be better luck with available tickets. -Eli |

I have 2 extra tickets. However, I will not be donating these but will be providing them at cost to the those on the list :-) Cost = $34.33 ($25 + shipping and service charges from tickets.com) |

Unfortunately, I don't have an extra after all :(
But I do know a guy who has two extras and is planning on distributing them through here, so there's still hope. |

HashWax (1) Confirmed
im in as well. sorry about that comment before, i was just trying to reiterate other peoples sentiments that this thread was not for the traders. i apologize for overreacting. I also think its a good idea that people only get 1 ticket at a time, since it seems most fair to spread it around the fans here.

confirm varnish (1) ticket needed!
(i think we were all hoping for two, but from the # of people on the list i think it's best to hope that we could perhaps all score 1 ticket a / piece)
although, i'm gonna have a VERY UNHAPPY GIRLFRIEND!
hoping more come forward w/ extra tix! : ) |
