It is a nice compilation ! I would add "Sister Isabelle" (from SSMVGD) too.
P.S. I hope you will tour together with the Catholics soon again

Sounds great! Though I'd add the instrumental "Bullet" from the Crime + Punishment OST. I can't wait.

oh yah defintily add sister isabelle, there are a few great versions of that floating around. what about john the revelator? i always liked when you guys did that.
thats "down in the hole" by waits right?
Anyhow, should be an awesome release. It will be much better than carrying around random cd-rs with some of those songs!!

Wait... Couldn't all these songs fit on one CD? Unless Belle Isle is another 15-minute epic...
edit: OK, I got it. It's a covers CD and a FB original CD. Does this mean Snake Oil is a cover then? And is Belle Isle a cover of French singer Laurent Voulzy?

i think it's so great that FB took the time to post that message on my birthday! i'm deeply, deeply honored, but i can't help mentioning that this recognition of my contributions to FB.net - and the online music scene in general - is richly deserved. i want to thank my agent, bernie brillstein, and my mom - and, of course, jesus. thank you, thank you all.

There sure are a lot of Harris' here?! Thanks for sharing this info on a public forum Sir. Much appreciated. May I ask who is supplying the art (album cover) for these albums? Hope all goes the way you have planned this summer. Best of luck and take care. Oh ya! Thanks for supporting our Prairie farmers and music lovers among them.

Great now I bought all those singles for only collector purpose! Haha but I have to admit, I will buy this istantly, it's a bitch to listen to all those b-sides on single because: 1. You need to go to your record player every 10-15 minutes to change the cd 2. The a-sides are always in the way, you have to skipp too much
what's a real good plus is the titles of this products One more road for the hit (from True Blue right?) is a great title and Snake Oil too. I guess this would be a double cd?

How about "Some Things (I Can't Get Used To)"? So good live. Didn't you record a version while doing Devil's Workshop?
Whatever you decide, it's all good (as they say).
Hoping to see you back in the Northeast soon ... in whatever capacity. Was going to fly from Boston to Coachella, but the birth of my second child is getting in the way. Priorities, you know ... |

Track 6 on Snake Oil, Mr Grieves? How about a version of "Fare thee Well", Frank?

Yes, this is a very good idea. The songs on that list that I've heard have all been impressive, and I would be quite excited to hear the rest. Any move that makes the music accessible to more people is a smart one, and there are a number of those songs that are unavailable in my neck of the plains.

This sounds very exciting to me. We don't get many of these b-sides out in South Dakota. I've dug up what I can where I can, but it'll be great to see these available to more people.

What is the time frame on this collection? Are we looking at sometime around the release of Frank Black Francis or later? And is that the reason for having a strictly Catholics release? i.e. One representing Catholics material and Frank Black Francis representing a broad spectrum of everything else?

Wow! I can't wait. I don't have enough money to buy all of the singles to get the b-sides and pirating music isn't really my thing so this will be the great! I'm sure many other fans are in a similar situation. Very nice. We all appreciate you checking in on the forums tremendously. Not many people can say "My favorite musician talks to us on the forum!"

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to give us a taste of what you're cooking up and for actually looking for feedback, Frank. Any other future plans with the Catholics? And thanks for giving me some more juicy quotes and tidbits for the Song Database!

thanks for considering the uber fans.and trying to keep the prices low.personally i would love to see a cd singles box set(like the nirvana or smashing pumpkins one)since some of them are really hard to find, but if that's impossible the two b-sides compilations are a great alternative, the more songs the better. (is there any place for "duke of earl" in there?i love that song)
