I think waiting in line for tickets or using the phone is not the way to go. That way you have to be extremely lucky.
The best way to get tickets is using the internet. I had the local time on the tv and got through exactly when it said 10am. The ticketmaster computers at locations is the same system as the internet but over the internet you avoid lines and stupid cashiers.

| This whole thing was soooo unfair! I entered in "look for tickets" at exactly 10 o'clock and it wouldn't let me! This sucks! If anyone has tickets available I'm looking - admin@whoaba.com is my email. Right when I pressed "look for tickets" it immediately said that it had no tickets. This is totally unfair. |

| Wow That was fast, I got on the ticketmaster ordering page finally at 10:03 and it was sold out, so I know it's a longshot but if anybody has 4 extra tickets to sell please mail me at travolante@yahoo.com, a group of us were planning on coming up from the dakotas, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx shane |

Hi, I'm a Pixies fan in Wisconsin and I didn't get a ticket before they sold out - I know I'm new to this board but I desperately need a ticket to the Winnipeg show! If I get one I'll be taking the Greyhound from south Wisconsin to Winnipeg... anything for the Pixies!

my plan was i bought tickets in brandon a small town about 2 hours from winnipeg. i checked everything out with them in advance, and so things worked out for me. that is my advice to anyone else, is check small towns with ticket centers around the larger centers and if they sell tix, post up there.
Manny, i hear you are coming all the way from Quebec for this, eh? that is a long way, you must be feeling euphoric.

Dear God, my hands are shaking. I can easily say the 10 pages on this thread were very well worth it. Thanks again to everybody who helped contribute to the success we had this morning. By the way, assuming that list was up to date as of before 10am today (I might not have gotten the most up-to-date one), I think that any newcomers should of course be considered, but AFTER those from the original list are taken care of. I believe someone brought that up earlier, at least. Let me know if you think differently.

MattB, let's consolidate. Take a look at my list and I have a few of your question marks filled in -- then let's keep the ones with extras as a separate list.
Also, as far as the question of how many each person gets in the lottery, so far it looks like there is a decent chance everyone could be taken care of, in which case we should do our best to make sure each person gets their tickets next to one another. |

Mattb - I'm not sure what that's about - but if there are any tickets available I'm willing to buy. I'm Wesley from Minnesota and I tried the internet sale.. just called ticketmaster in Winnipeg and they sold out in 3 minutes! There was a system overload so plenty of people who tried to get them were shut out, and plenty of lines for tickets at other places got shut out too! Nuts, eh?
If you have extras, I would love to see this show! It is the day after my birthday, which is April 13th.
