I would suggest Franz Ferdinand but the clammer to get tickets from their fans would mean much less chance for us They seem to have really taken off already in the UK, not bad considering they have only released one single and the album is not even out yet.

I'm going to have to second the vote for Ween. And Camper Van Beethoven is back together. If Camper and Pixies played together... ooooohhh... Two bands who I never thought I'd get to see. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Glad to see Ween seconded!

Whoever said Spoon, i saw Guided By Voices on the Alien Lanes tour supported by Spoon and Silkworm. Pretty damn good gig as you might imagine!

April 3rd in London btw - Mission of Burma. Should be a good one.

That's a real shame El Barto!!! Hope you are still with this girl.

I am in the process of forming a band so I must remember not to run off with the drummers girlfriend. Actually that's not likely as he hasn't got a girlfriend and hasn't had one in years.

Hehe, we broke up at the end of November, actually. I'm happy though, now that I met Melanie.

How about:

Valhalla
Lyle Workman solo (maybe he'll do "Everyone Is Wrong" - great song)
Beck (I read in an interview that FB liked Beck)
The Flaming Lips
U2 (just for a paradox)
The Residents
Elvis Costello

Actually, I shift my vote to Valhalla, but only with the original lineup. Including Dustin.

Instead of starting a new thread in an already crowded froum, what songs of each other would you like to see them do?

How about Frank sings "Saints" "Fortunatly Gone" "Cannonball" and "Do You Love Me Now".

And Kim sings "Superabound" "Fiddle Riddle" or "Pure Denizen of the Citizens Band"

Ideally, well for me anyway, I'd have British Sea Power and Carina Round as supports. I know Carina Round is a big fan of the Pixies, even finished one of her songs live with lyrics from "I've Been Tired", very passionately delivered.

Fugazi
Husker DU
Sonic Youth
MAlkmus & Jicks
Preston School of Industry
Mudhoney
Buff Medways
....................
Cant think of any more. I think iw ould die if all these bands played together - not that it would be very possible. Also some maybe would be headliners over pixies - like SY and BuffMedways,..some others.

Fabulous choices. Frank singing Do You Love Me Now would be great. I imagine him doing it Sir Rockabye style. And Kim would do an amazing Superabound--and a pretty good Sir Rockabye, come to think of it.

I suggest: Frank sings Mad Lucas, Kim sings Pie in the Sky

Yeah, Frank and the Catholics would be my top choice for opening band, but if Frank doesn't want to do that (which is understandable), I'll second TMBG or Camper Van Beethoven.
