You can listen to the entire album on their site, d/l "anti-matter," but I want to you to listen to song #4,
"Car Crash"
"you leave me hungry wanting more am i thirsty i wasn't sure see me driving through the rain why am i driving i can't explain
in my car to where you are i won't make it i can't make it in my car to where you are i cant make it i wont make it
i am sliding i lose my breaks the lights are blinding the earth quakes now i'm lying will i die will they find me will they try
doesn't matter about the time we make doesn't matter it doesn't shatter if time we take you know they're lost while I'm dragging the cross (if you sing along...) and where you cross (if I scream...)
while they're washing they sins (and we sing along...) she sings, I do evil things I need I strive (and we sing along...) I bleed alive (and we sing along... and we sing along)"
Costanza has the prettiest voice |

I love that music player on the front page, what a great idea.
Antimatter for some reason reminded me of group "The The". Maybe it was just his voice. Not something I'd buy, but I'd have no problem listening to. I do like bands that have Male/Female vocalists. My all time favorite is X and my new favorite is Enon. The guy I work with would probably like it more, but he's in Peru adopting a baby. I'll have him take a listen when he gets back.

It's a unique voice... as unique as coming across and speaking to someone with a knife wound in chest. Near death and barely can speak. I'm not sure if it's the sound of suffering or sexiness.
It could also be the need of an electrolarynx.
...though he loved to rock and roll...

Sure that is the point, but there are better ways to explain why you don't like something. As far as musical reveiws are concerned, a "knife in the larnyx" isn't quite the description I would consider thorough. I see that as just someone being a jerk. I don't care if you like it or not, it's not my music and I don't work for them. But that is a really rude way of expressing one's distaste, and a usesless description as well. And it pisses me off. |

What about the fucking song?
is all I am saying
Why isn't anyone else responding? The person before didnt even put up a song
If you didn't have the lyrics in front of you, wouldn't you think she said "cartoon" instead of "car to"
The English/British accent is great. I hear something totally different than what she really sings
ps Do take into account the low sound quality... |

I like car crash. reminds me of 2000 era Giant Sand. Verdy gud. I was kinda hoping the beat would go double time, & turn the whole thing into a dance song, cause I need that sorta energy right now. I like her singing. Before I looked at the lyrics you typed I thought she was saying "In my cartoon where you are". Good choice, mang. |

I'm having a tough time.
The media player won't do anything. What am I doing wrong?
The best I could find was a 0:45 mp3 sample.

Yeah, I see it.
I can't get it off of "Stay"
Ah well. I've tried Mozilla, Opera and IE. No success.
Maybe I'm missing a Plug-in or something.

I guess I can't particpate this round.

This one was pretty decent. Not exactly familiar with Tricky myself, but it's kinda what I would have expected. That's not to say it's predictable (which wouldn't even necessarily be a negative comment), just somehow the songs on that website are very much the way I had imagined. I listened through to about five songs on the song player thing, and Car Crash wasn't my favourite, though it's still fairly good. More than anything, I thank you for reminding me I meant to get around to hearing Tricky.

I didn't mind it, though something about this song in particular, seems very "conventional", though the same argument could be made about FB's recent output, and I love it, so to each there own. I think I prefer Tricky as an actor. The 5th Element rules! |

I was sat on reception at the label where I work last Tuesday, the buzzer goes and I answer the door to this black English guy with a slight Westcountry accent. He asks for the label boss, I say who shall I tell him is here? He says, tell him its Tricky.
I am so cool, I made Tricky tea. he has it black, no sugar.

I hate to say it, but I don't like it. I have Maxinquaye, but when I bought it, infatuated with "Christian Sands", I discovered I only liked 2 songs (this was before P2P). I generally like where he's coming from, but I don't know that music is his best medium. He seems half-hearted, and it shows when he sings. Her singing gets on my nerves. The song, the lyrics and just overall, is boring, uninspired, and that bothers me, because I want to like it for some reason....Of course, this is all just my humble opinion.

I like the website, for what ever that is worth. I do not know what it is (or I just do not want to let it be know) but I have a hard time finding interest in didoesque music. Everything about the music is fine but the image is all wrong for me. Maybe it has something to do with my many issues. God I feel like shit.

Same here Malax. I'm really sorry I've missed out on a few entries because of Real Life interfering (what a stupid concept). I hope Music Ring resurrects before Easter or whenever. Merry Christmas to y'all!

Maybe someone could link the songs next to each member that has already played so their songs wont be forgotten or lost so someone new doesn't have to go back to some archived thread. BREATH! Who has the time?

I just clicked on the link, LBF; Tricky is pretty good. I didn't know who he was before, though, I thought he was a rapper. So he is from Massive Attack? I like that band but am not too familiar with them; all I've got of theirs are a few downloads. Overall very good...very relaxing, tranquil music...
Take me, break me, tell me a good one and maybe I'll cry

Get Black Steel if you can, that is the most amazing cover. Also, the singer's called Martina Topley-Bird, which seems to be innately funny, I don't know why.
