This was so hard, as the results show. I barely went with Kings of the Prairie, and here's where we ended up:

This is one of my favorite Frank albums of the last 20 years so it’s very hard to kill off any of these songs
I’ll stick with Kings of the Prairie for this round

Nitpicking at this point my vote goes for Mercy Me.
I have to make it through the first minute or so of boredom before I remember that I actually really like this song. No idea why but the 'I lost my dog down Tennessee' line kind of grates on me. |

| I can't remember exactly where (maybe the press release that we were able to find prior to their actual release?) he explains that with that specific line he was following late-era Cohen in using a country-music platitude or cliche and using it to build a larger, more meditative edifice. Maybe he failed in that larger project (I think he succeeds), but I don't think it's unfair to critique the line for being generic, given that it is by design. |

I have a rescue dog from Tennessee. I imagine this is the original owner out there looking for their dog. Makes it a bit more personal so I really like this song.

That's a good part, but then the second or third time you hear a typical copy/paste "oh ooh woo oohh wo" that's totally shoehorned in by Dalgety
(at Franks request?). Hate that vocal.
