I'm not even going to try and make myself like it, not that I'm saying that's what you're doing. Too much good music out there to bother with filler. I'm going to fail the moon song with a straight D and a side note saying "can do better. Must try harder" |

I'm a fan I like Franks voice and chords Even his subpar writing sounds like literature

I guess maybe this could explain why I like FMRM and NTE - I mean most of the songs on those albums are quite fillery but I still enjoy listening to those albums when I do.
When it comes to Pixies music though the bar is higher so I can be more critical. |

I have to say I find Moon embarrassing. Incredibly boring music and shockingly bad lyrics. I really tried to like it but I can't listen to it. It makes me incredibly concerned about the whole album. I'm also particularly baffled how the band seems to be extra enthusiastic about this particular song.
What the hell am I missing? I am the last person who wants to crap all over a FBF song. He's one of the biggest inspirational songwriting/performing heroes of my entire life. |

Looks like in the Germany show they grouped the new tunes together in the setlist. Might make sense. |

Just saw them in San Diego. As far as the new stuff, they played Human Crime, Who’s More Sorry Now?, The Lord Has Come Today, There’s A Moon On, Vault of Heaven. Let me tell you, the crowd was really into Who’s More Sorry Now? All in all, the new songs feel great live. I really dig doggerel. Best thing pixies 2.0 has done. I wish they played more new ones. |

Thanks for the eyewitness news QuaBear.
The more I listen to the new album the more I think Who's More Sorry Now? has the potential to become a huge hit, if people would give it chance. It's as catchy as anything the Beatles ever did. I'm not surprised to hear SD was digging it. |

Love Joey's solo too, some of his lead work is a bit boring, but here it works out

I thought about going to Terminal 5 last night but opted out. Looks like a nice show. Setlist looks a wee bit short? Maybe they were getting ready to jump on their flight to Bogota?

Someone on the Facebook group said Charles had some trouble with his voice towards the end.
Interesting to see in a recent interview he said the pool of songs they've rehearsed is "around 50". Does rather explain the slightly less variance in setlists that we've been used to in recent years. |

Yes, I believe the setlist dot com page says that Head On was not finished. Hope his voice is okay. It's amazing that he's singing Tame in an encore in 2022. |

Looks like Dave’s drumming was off during WIMM Theres a video on YT Charles seems to give him a few evil stares during the song then eventually leaves the stage. There was a long pause followed by a few songs I found a few Reddit posts commenting it was not their best gig. Life on the road can be stressful I guess

That is funny you say that, because at the San Diego gig, David dropped his sticks a few times, and made a few flubs there as well.... |

Interesting rendition! I like how Frank does some Dylan-izing of some of his songs. Can’t blame him, and at least it’s recognizable
But yes he definitely seems to be repeatedly staring back at Dave, maybe thinking “where is your rhythm?” |

I think Dave was playing too slow and BF looked pissed off but eventually finished the song before leaving the stage. Then something happened backstage. The band was really tight on the summer tour, Dave did really great. So, that was a bit unexpected. I hope Dave.s OK

Still a pretty grim set list - there's an 8 song run in the middle that's ok but it's still pretty tired.
20+ songs from Doolittle or earlier doesn't leave much space for the other 6 albums.. |

Agree. But in the London shows at least all 12 songs from HC and BTE were played on the tours for those respective albums. So I'm gonna hope with a few months still to go we'll get all of Doggerel by the time they hit Europe again in the Spring. |

Very likely. One of them implied in a recent interview that they'd only rehearsed a few of the Doggerel songs for this year. Still on the 'rescheduled' dates, by and large. |
