Hey everybody,
Call it hubrus, but I wanted to let everyone know that I'm cooling down my involvement with this site. Though I enjoy it immensely, I feel like it's become a soft addiction for me. I check the site twice a day and it eats about an hour every day. That's an hour I should be spending somewhere else. So I've decided to limit my time here to once a week. I'm posting this publically because a lot of you ask me technical audio questions and I wanted you all to know that you should e-mail me if you want an answer right away. I'm still planning to take part in the Pixies tribute as a contributor and mastering engineer, but someday I'd like some crazy Canuck to start a forum about me and I need to start working on that. I'm also giving up video games if any of you still doubt my conviction. I'll let everyone know when my album and official website are up and I hope you all enjoy my music. See you next week! - Tim

| look at the amount of posts Dave Noisy has....what a madman....I too would like to cool off....but I feel like I have to check in from time to time to get some news....of course that "time to time" is at least twice daily, but hey, sometimes there is a lot of news. |

i'm a full addict. but i'm proud to say that 90 percent of the time i check this site, it's on work time. which i think is respectable.
i've been thinking about doing a fb.net detox though.. go into hiding for a while..
maybe i should go on an insulting spree like certain people have lately, and then i'll get kicked off |

I think I've been cutting back myself recently. Mostly because of college and stuff. It seems like the board has been less alive lately. Wouldn't it get more crowded now that Frank Black posts here?

I think personally it's because of the negativity that's been going on here. I no longer look forward to posting, because it seems that some people out there are just waiting for you to make a comment they can cuss you for. It's immature and stupid. To anybody out there whom I inadvertantly pissed off, I am sorry. What I am talking about is people who do not seem to want to do anything but ridicule others intentionally.
BTW, mere, I probably learned to type a good 50 or so words every minute because of this soft addiction. (Haven't had to type a master's thesis yet.)
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Hey, come on, at least there's *less* now. It's impossible to get rid of it all, but hell, i even saw a *smiley* from one of the more common 'offenders'...
I have no idea what my typing speed is..is there some online test we can all do to get a fair comparrison? |

I'm a complete addict..... when my gilfriend wants sex I tell her 'after the forum love' and by that time she has gone to sleep.... in fact she left me a note this morning after last nights broken promise, dunno what it says because I cannot read.
Who's the man that won't cop out when there's danger all about? |

LOL! Fuck, it took me a while to understand what you were on about and then it suddenly clicked. A week it has been, although this forum thing has seriously ruined my love life as I haven't seen my girlfriend in three days and I still don't know what that damn note she left me says!

The funny thing is that most people pronounce it 'who-bris' like it's some sort of alfalfa, when it should be he-bris. Well, I find it funny. Shut up.

In Greek it's he-bris. Not my fault that English bastards think everything traslates 1:1. The 'u' in Greek makes a hard E sound, but hey, it looks like a u, let's just change the way it's spoken. Kind of like beta = veta, but hell, it looks so much like a 'b', who cares how you say it properly.

It takes some hubris to correct one's spelling of hubrus. Though saying "hubris DUDE" is very funny.
I guess it also takes a lot of hubrus to even use the word hubris, but I was being a smirking, ironic, "I like Malkmus" smart-ass when I used it. Especially considering that I learned that word from watching Bender use it on Futurama!
