Nice little tidbit from the Flood interview posted on another thread.
"'There were a couple of tracks from Head Carrier that didn’t make it on the record, which had a certain kind of vibe. There was one called “I Like to Drive” and another one that didn’t end up on the record. Now it’s called “Silver Bullet.” Maybe that was a thread that sorta started on the previous record, but didn’t really take over. Maybe we thought we’d bring that over, if that makes sense. Maybe it just wasn’t ready to blossom back then."
So still a few Head Carrier extras in the vault to maybe pop out one day in the future. |

man, that is so cool. FBF just gets them out there.
Did someone once suggest that Tranquilize Me morphed into Death Horizon? |

This is brilliant! How did you find all this out? Or do you just take very careful notes across the various forum postings ;)
One point though. Women of War has Paz singing on it. Was it not recorded totally stand alone during the years between IC and HC? |

Thanks! I've just written loads and loads of notes about the Pixies recording sessions and this info is part of that. When it's all written up nicely I'll post it on here |

Appreciate that. Was struggling with it for a while. I thought 'The Planters' was a weird song title, haha. |

Yep, it must’ve been recorded sometime between January 2014 when Paz started playing with them and April 2014 when Women Of War was released. The rest of the Indie Cindy tracks were recorded over a couple months starting September 2012
Ps I love Women of War. Has that rough quality from the early days of the band. |

The Ringer review is full of all the cliches but is very thorough. Would be a good historic entry for wiki or something. |
