Apparently the sleeve artwork is done by long time collaborator Simon Larbalestier, first time he's worked with the band for a while?
Stevio, great new info, thanks for sharing! This is the serie of photographs they used:

It's no Surfer Rosa or Doolittle. How many times have we heard that! |

Every album since Bossanova. So I guess 5 times. |

I still cherish the Dutch review of Bossanova, that almost saw Doolittle has a misstep and Bossanova as the best record to date. U2, REM and The Pixies will be the most important bands of the 90's.

3 hours ago, a monkey dressed all in black descended from the Heavens and gave us a miraculous gift in 320kbps. It's out there, folks! |

I think I'll try and do my best to wait for the vinyl to come out. Shame about the deluxe version though, I had finally talked myself into it for the bonus record but the shipping to Canada is estimated at $39 USD! |

I'm glad to hear everybody's thoughts.
I'm actually just gonna wait until it comes out.
I would pay the extra to get the bonus tracks if they weren't on vinyl. I don't understand why it's vinyl only. If you like vinyl good for you, some of us who grew up with it didn't care then and don't care now and whatever. |

Heading into work on the London underground this morning. Doors opened at a passing station and straight in front of me was a poster for Beneath the Eyrie. I was tingling like it was 1990 again. |

Yeah, I'd get a little tingly if I were to run into something like that myself. Pretty cool. |

Don't think I have seen this one posted, yet. The plethora of mid-tempo songs does concern me a bit. Hoping they pull it off as well as everyone else is saying.
Still not a bad review, just not as glowing as some of the rest. _______________ “make…some…room” |

Kind of a weird review. He criticizes the opening lyrics of Daniel Boone:
quote: "Basic lyrics like, “Last night I was driving around/ Nothing to do, thinking of you,” from “Daniel Boone,” surprise with their obviousness.
But did the reviewer listen to the rest of the song?
(SPOILER ALERT)
Charles slams his car into a reindeer, dies, floats up towards the moon, spots a dying coral reef and an American 18th century explorer smiling back at him (or, the reef itself "looks like" the smiling visage of the explorer.. the lyrics are ambiguous). ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED, REVIEWER? |

Haha sorry!! According to genius.com, Charles explains the meaning of the song in Ep 11 of the podcast and I missed a big part of it. My comment was mostly a literal interpretation of the lyrics. But I'm gonna refrain from doing that until after Friday! I'll add a spoiler warning to my comment just in case |

It is all good. It was more of a soft spoiler and actually makes me look forward to the song. Can't wait until Friday!

Mid-tempo doesn't actually surprise any of these reviewers does it? |
