| That bit of Joey playing that Paz and Charles got jazzed about was amazing. I couldn't tell what song it was from, though? I think it was from Bogman. Along with some of the other clips. But Bogman isn't on the record...too bad as it sounds awesome |

I think the chat has been more interesting than the musical snippets, starting to get a real feel for their recording vibe.
The new stuff sounds exactly like Pixies new stuff, still waiting for the release or tour before getting too hung up on it.. |

I’m way behind on the podcast, but is anyone else besides me pleased that they’re taking this approach for hype vs just drip drip releasing half the album before it’s official release date? That’s what I was afraid they would do, and it really lessens the impact when the actual album comes out. I mean, we have the snippets, plus some live takes on rough sounding YouTube vids - it’s better than letting the proverbial cat out of the bag months ahead of time.

All I can say is I'm not sure how a big Pixies/Frank fan wouldn't eat up every moment of this podcast. It's an incredible look into the process. |

David Lovering is the man. Seems to be a very likeable, interesting and interested, talented and humble human. Like for all other Pixies, I cannot help but get an impression of a very mild autistic part. I mean, he seems so engaged in his activities and thoughts, but never cares to show them. Could listen to him for a very long time.
Also, his name is just fantastic.
His remarks on the evolution of his drumming style are straightforward and honest, but I think I miss his early style (busy but still somehow lightweight and well-constrained, and never in-your-face) very much in Pixies 2.0.

It was so great on the last podcast when he jokingly did some « crazy fills ».
Never really enjoyed his now-trademark loud/sledgehammer-sounding/drum-machine-like 2.0 style either.
I don’t blame him. Drumming is a sport, and tours must be exhausting.

Yes,when Paz harmonies are doubled it did remind me of Kim and Kelley twin harmonies which for me is a beautiful thing.Musically Long Rider is sounding FANTASTIC!!!
