@Wilson: Does the album sounds totally overcompressed like Indie Cindy and most modern rock albums ? Does Dalgety & the Pixies mix well ?

Yes. They should have called it something like "Bürgermeister of Purgatory" or "Mixed messages from Sir Naff".

Name wise I'd guess All The Saints (Seeing as Joey replied to Tom Dalgety's twitter post referencing that song and Paz used the word 'saints' in a lot of her Instagram posts) or Super Lecker (Seeing as those demos Frank shared were called something like 'Super Lecker Mastered' and Paz Instagram-ed a piece of paper she'd written 'Super Lecker' on).

So, mid-tempo songs. Get the sequencing right, please. Indy City had great songs, but was kind of a slog to get through.
Do all the songs pass the 3 minute mark?

I think the only BMI songs that could fit as an album title
- plaster of paris
- oona
- head carrier
- baals back
- all the saints

Head Carrier sounds cool as an album name.

I thought Super Lecker sounded really promising from that 30 second Youtube clip (possibly better than other hopefuls we've heard Um Chagga Lagga, O' Little Cloud & Last Night The Wolves Came Out) so it'd be a shame not to hear a full studio version of it. I liked that it actually drove rather than chugged along - Something I think better fits Frank's solo work.

Odds were that Super Lecker would be THE most likely track to feature, so I'm gonna be taking everything with an extra pinch of salt at least for now. Prove yer self kid!

With you there Jake3. If not on the album I'd take it as a B-side.

I'd genuinely like to see post-reunion material make up the bulk of the sets for some shows - I know the reality will be Bone Machine, Wave, Debaser etc....

I've been checking this website religiously for months now. It's very hard to hide the anticipation when we know something is coming. Good times again. And a few years ago none of us could even reasonably expect ANY new material from the band.

ALICE PRIN
BANKS OF THE DRAIN
CLASSIC MASHER
LAND OF GREEN
LAST NIGHT THE WOLVES CAME OUT
O LITTLE CLOUD
MUST BE A DEVIL
PICKEREL PICKER
RATS ALIVE
TRANQUILIZE ME
UM CHAGGA LAGGA
UNA
ALL THE SAiNTS
BAALS BACK
DOWN IN TOULON
HEAD CARRIER
I LIKE TO DRIVE
PLASTER OR PARIS
SUPER LECKER
TALENT
YOU MIGHT AS WELL BE GONE

I for one would be happy if there was no Super Lecker on the new album
It really sounded like a B-side
From that clip at 6:00 http://youtu.be/DTSeXFE6HHM, it felt like in the vein of Another Toe meets Bam Thwok, a bit too cheesy for my taste

I could also do without Um Chagga Lagga...

Overall, very excited, even by Classic Masher alone. Though a bit less so far than when I heard Bagboy for the first time and thought this could be their new sound

um chagga lagga is the most OG sounding track on the record. i didn't listen to the acoustic version much, but you'll be pleased when it drops.

only 9 titles from that list made it. could be songs being renamed or could be new ones entirely. checked out the super lecker clip and yeah, it's definitely not there. no alice prin either.

Thanks wilson!

Would you be able to hint on when you think the album might come out - July, August, September?

Did O Little Cloud make it?

Are there less songs on it than the last?

OG = original! i.e. it sounds like the pixies we all fell in love with.

my connection with the band is that i work in music, and happen to be a lucky fella.

expect the first single once june is out of the way, and for the album to drop late summer.

same amount of songs as the last record. no sign of o little cloud either!

Oh well... It will be a long summer... At least we'll have one song to keep us waiting.

Is Vaughan Oliver in for the artworks & packaging ?

I will be hard not to look at concert videos to catch a glimpse of the new songs.

Are you a Pixies fans by the way ? And did you enjoy the album...? (dont be afraid to scare anyone here ! )

So we can expect an album in late August, with 12 songs, that could probably be:

CLASSIC MASHER
PICKEREL PICKER
RATS ALIVE
TRANQUILIZE ME
UM CHAGGA LAGGA
UNA
ALL THE SAiNTS
BAALS BACK
DOWN IN TOULON
HEAD CARRIER
I LIKE TO DRIVE
PLASTER OR PARIS

Including a single early July which could be Classic Masher

Wilson, do we get to hear violin?
Which voice is BF mostly using? Soft? Shout? Spoken word?
Is David Lovering more inspired than on Indie Cindy?

Are Paz's bass notes like classic Pixies, simple but addictively effective or do they blend in a little more like on Indie Cindy?

My big questions for Wilson would be
1. How prominent are Paz's basslines/vocals?
2. Does Black Francis utilize a more manic vocal approach or is it pretty straightforward stuff?
3. How "weird" is the album? Do the songs give you a "that sounds interesting, wonder what the hell he is talking about" kinda vibe?

Thanks for sharing the info with us.
