Sounds cool. I'm hoping maybe there is a companion Pixies album to go along with it...

Listening to BF discuss the demos/recording in Joey's studio in a recent interview, I wondered if some of these found their way onto 'Nonstoperotik'. 'Cinema Star' etc.
Not sure how well the dates join up though. |

I just watched that interview twice and if I pick things up correctly he's saying
1. The Pixies recorded 15 demos before they started the EPs! 2. The lyrics for these demos are in the book!
So now the questions in my mind are
3. Has anybody seen the contents of this book? 4. Are the lyrics those of the songs in the BMI list that have not yet been released or are they even more brand new?
You can see a preview of the book here by they way, but I did not spot any lyric pages. Some nice drawings though.

Even if the songs end up being formally recorded by FB and non Pixies backing it would sure be interesting to hear those demos one day. |

I bought the book at a store. There's only one song or poem, so far. |

Should get mine in a few days. For those that have it already, is it a good read? Not too fond of it being written like a play, but wanted to support BF and give it a shot. |

The ideas are strong, it's visual. It starts as a journey, so that keeps pages flipping.
It would make a great movie! I listen to some podcast about screenwriting, this certainly would have those guys frowning, which is excellent in many ways. |

How do I read the rest of the article?
I get as far as, "...I’ll read John Updike."
Oh, it just popped up. |

Gosh! It's weird to see Steven Appleby, I didn't know he/she was... something else... I love the drwawings he/she did for Trompe le Monde.
Nice little documentary, very cool hypish / pseudo intelectual ambiance though... It's mostly about "how" and it doesn't have a lot to deliver about "why". Current media doesn't make cultural items attractive. Or maybe, they just aren't anymore...

My opinion is it's very good with moments of excellence. Maybe one day we'll hear it and see it! |

PUERTO RICO PIXIE
Just saw this now, very interesting. Not that it matters, but I had no idea that Steven Appleby was transgender. |
