This is a beautiful song. The acrostic inspired me to include them in my romantic conquests.

Thanks, but I just listen to the transcendent beauty of the music. I'm too transcendently exhausted to think about his little word games. haha

Thomas, the last time I looked for hidden meanings in ANY songs was all the "Paul is dead" hints in Beatle songs. Which, btw, were all perpetrated by that evil genius, John Winston Lennon. such as "paul is a dead man, miss him"; "i buried paul"; "here's another clue for you all: the walrus was paul" and like that ha ha |

I remember listening to a cassette years ago, early 80's, with my friends. It was a radio broadcast dedicated to the whole 'Is Paul Dead' mystery. There has got to be an mp3 version of it out there somewhere.
I'm pretty sure I ruined a few of my Beatles and Zeppelin albums trying to play them backwards trying to hear the 'secret message' that was or wasn't there.

Had TOTY on in the car this morning. I hadn't listened to it for a while so it was good to hear it again. This song really stood out, as it always does. The second part of the song just amazes me every time.
"Wise is the tongue, wet of perfect thought, And softest neck where always do I Lay my clumsy thoughts"
That's just too beautiful for words to describe, the whole song is, but 'clumsy thoughts' gets me every time for some reason. Like, anything he says or does may be flawed, but the object of his desire, she IS perfect. Wise, precious, soothing...and it's sometimes all he can do to just blisfully get lost in all these qualities while admiring her. Wow.

Beautiful song indeed. Me and a friend of mine used to play this one at a campfire in a beach with other folks drinking and having fun in summertime...aahh good memories. It sucks to getting old, doesn't it? |

Getting old is great. I'm in as good of shape as I've ever been, and look and feel great.

"Clumsy thoughts" gets to me too, Pixiestu. Many a time I've shed a tear to this song; I rarely listen to it, I don't want to run it into the ground. It's great on the highway, actually, Teenager is a great road trip album. |
