Has anyone written or attempted to write one of these? It'd be a major feat tracking down everything from the first Pixies sessions, Frank Black sessions, Catholic sessions, semi-official bootlegs and everything in between. Something for the uberfan/geek but I'd buy it as the music nerd in me enjoys these books. Heck, maybe I should write it if noone else is doing it.

what about a wiki-like website, for example?

A wiki site could be cool, a fan written and moderated site with input from the key players from the sessions?
