| All reports say it is a solid album, amazing no tracks have been leaked yet. I'm guessing once the Pixies start booking festivals and shows in 2014 it'll be an indication the album is about to drop. I am prediciting they'll drop it around late November 2013 so they can hit the xmas market. If it is a good album I hope it'll be the first of many. |

What reports?? I'm guessing once the Breeders Tour is totally done and dusted we'll hear about it. I doubt Kim would want to answer questions on the Pixies while she's still in Breeders mode. |

That's what I wondered, all we have at the moment are rumours that there might be a new album, and until we have solid proof that's exactly what they will remain. I do wonder why all the secrecy behind this if there is one in the pipeline, what is to be gained from keeping it a tight secret? It's really starting to bore me the whole thing now.

I think there is enough evidence that the album was recorded, it seems there are three possibilities about its release: a) a fall/holiday release, as the Breeders tour will be over and they can capiatlize on the X mas market like Helmut speculated, b) a quick out of the blue release a la In Rainbows, m b v, c) Kim was not happy with the album and did not want it released.
I agree that it is annoying we haven't heard anything about it, it's quite frustrating really. |

| And a band recording at the studio said the Pixies were recording at the same time, the Arcade Fire's manager tweeted about listening to the album, instead of denying the existence of the album black franis said only their publicist could talk about it, and the new songs are the first songs to be published under Rice and Beans music since the Pixies. |

I would actually love this if it was a Black Francis album with Joey on guitar ie songs that sound more like Pixies- which from the ones he's played on this tour, I think they do. Hoping for a full band Pixies album though. They're probably just waiting until after the Breeders tour to announce it. I think Joey implied the Pixies would be touring again in 2013 but it probably got put on held by Kim's Breeders LSXX tour.

Several new Black Francis songs have shown up on BMI under the Rice and Beans Music publishing label. All Pixies music has been published under Rice and Beans while his solo material is usually released under Spime Songs or Lone Child. Here are the titles.

| There is footage of Black Francis playing Silver Snail, Andro Queen and Green & Blue if you do a search (I ain't posting the links...do your own research, and no more smart-ass replies from Pot). Andro Queen has that sci-fi Bossonova vibe going on, love it already. From this small sample of songs, it really does sound like what you'd expect the Pixies sixth album to sound like, a cross between Bossonova and the first two Frank Black solo albums. Even if it is their last album, it'd be great to end on a good note (Trompe Le Monde wasn't that good, admit it). |

Thanks sdon. if they are a taster of what to expect from a possible unprecedented new Pixies album then I'm left even less interested than before. In what way are they new Pixies songs? How can anything be new Pixies music. Even if the four of them go into the studio and bang out a new album I will have difficulty thinking about it as a Pixies album. It's probably best if they just don't do it at all. I don't want to hear it, even if they have recorded a new album I am not really that interested. I wont like it. It will be a band trying to make an album that everyone wants, but their hearts are not in it and any true fan will be able to tell that instantly. If they all don't want to do it then they shouldn't. I can't be fucked with all this mystery surrounding the whole thing it's getting really boring.

| The fact that BF is blasting these songs out in solo shows, exhibiting a bit more passion in his playing than usual, suggests that his heart is in it. I have faith. Classic Masher is going to be the poppiest song BF has penned in years. |
