Hi All,

I came across this video showing FB playing with a band called Spanish for Hitchhiking. The show was only a few days ago. Maybe this will motivate him to hit the studio and stage with a full band? Wheels, the song they are performing, is something I would like to hear the Catholics play. That would be great!

That was awesome! Real nice to hear these two songs played like that, with that sound.

I think there are a lot of songs from the last few years that would've been great to hear live. It would be interesting if he did get a band together and play some of those unplayed songs.

This is great stuff. I love these versions.

Makes me think how awesome the man is when he focuses only on the vocals. Like Run, how cool that song is when it's just the man and a mic sans guitar. I wonder if Snake Oil was sans guitar, too. Another epic vocal delivery, just like these two.

You're right !
And remember that he didn't play guitar on Annoucement too (studio and live) and that was quite something !

Ah cool, I never knew that. Announcement is on a random fB compilation I found hidden away recently. It still sounds so good after all these years.

Mother Popcorn too, maybe, holiday son?

Only Lyle !
I can't tell how much I love this song. I think it's his best vocal performance too.

(Soren, I don't know about mother popcorn)

And you saw him play it live...sing it live.

Announcement, Man of Steel, Alec Eiffel. Three killer codas.

I didn't really like the 2007 tour where he just sang with the band.

I only saw a couple but those shows were surreal. I have a photo of the man riding the bass drum.

Even though the follow up tour was still effectively a three piece band (Carter, Schmid, Francis), with a fairly limited setlist, it just seemed a lot more enjoyable.
