I bumped into the Dig For Fire Promo on eBay while I was hunting
down Six-Legged Man.

It mentions two mixes of Dig For Fire. What are the two mixes?
It says 3:02 and 2:46 for the song lengths. Maybe the Rough Trade
one mentioned in the thread below?

I'm guessing the two mixes are the Bossanova LP version and the Dig For Fire EP version.

I haven't seen a promo before but i have the EP (4AD) and the track's 2:49 in length. Have a listen.

There's a version that cuts out the long intro to the song and just starts with a riff and goes right into the verse.
