Yes, right. Scroll up and four other people were pretty pissed at KOK, but you clearly have your finger on the pulse of fb.net and can declare that it's "mostly amusing to the rest of us".

as a general rule, I think it's best just to not respond to KoK now. He feeds off the attention (I think Dallas mentioned that elsewhere) and it's the only reason he comes back. His statements are becoming more outrageous and inflammatory.

If you ban KOK for being an asshole and aggravating people, then you ban LBF, too. But nobody ever says that, right? Because it's not necessary. Grow some skin and ignore the guy.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

heh. so...you really think kok and lbf are the same person? that's pretty awesome. just because lbf aggravates you doesn't mean he isn't one of the most beloved people on this forum.

kok is the swimmer. it has nothing to do with freedom of speech and hearing other peoples views. the dude is a troll and he needs to go.

i hate anyone who doesn't like me.

I was watching tv today for the first time since the fires started. It's a lot worse then I had imagined. I hope they catch these psycho's.

I also hope plastic people, with plastic flags, realize there is more to life than 54 inch high def plasma screens, hummers, and Costco.

I just spoke with my good friend that is a local FOX affiliate cameraman out of SD. He's been working fifteen hour days down there. He commented on how most of the evacuation went well, but some of these people were being difficult because they kept running back in their homes for more of their stuff, even as the firefighters were telling them directly that they had to leave.

He said the first couple of days were just spent evacuating people. They couldn't even really fight the fire until they got everyone out of there.

A local FOX affiliate. Different than the big guys. He says people are always giving him dirty looks and the finger when he's in the van. It's not their fault though. People are often times ignorant of the real facts on many issues.

Fox local is separate from actual Fox news. Isn't it? I know it's the same company but still...

My friend has only recently been freed from his government hypnosis. He treated my email truth campaign as an amusing oddity until I went down there in person and unveiled my extensive library of video truth in he and his families presence.

Local Fox affiliates still have a certain amount of freedom. Could he do a story on Depleted Uranium being used in Hawaii? Probably not.

I know this because I bet him two hundred dollars he couldn't.

i know what you mean floop, but the local news people don't voice their opinions, they just tell the news. yknow?

someone working for a Fox news affiliate is working for Fox

It's a franchise not the main office. Make sense?

First off they don't want to do real stories because real stories don't really interest people. People need to be captivated enough to stay around for the commercials. That's really what it's all about.

Now here's a quick search I just did. This is a local FOX affiliate doing a positive story on Loosechange. This would not happen on the twenty four hour channel. They would attack these guys as screw balls. Like they always do.

Yes, the local channels still have freedom. The big news channels, papers and such are the ones that are controlled. Don't be throwing the bird at your local news guys because you just hurt their feelings. Flip the bird at Hannity, ORielly, Michelle Mulkin, etc. because they are obviously a reptilian overlords of some type.

i understand the difference. there's still an association with the parent company.

af·fil·i·ate
v. af·fil·i·at·ed, af·fil·i·at·ing, af·fil·i·ates
v.tr.
1. To adopt or accept as a member, subordinate associate, or branch: The HMO affiliated the clinics last year.
2. To associate (oneself) as a subordinate, subsidiary, employee, or member: affiliated herself with a new law firm.
3. To assign the origin of.
v.intr.
To become closely connected or associated: The two unions voted to affiliate.
n. (--t, -t)
A person, organization, or establishment associated with another as a subordinate, subsidiary, or member: network affiliates.

in an indirect way, your friend is being paid, at least partially, by the Fox parent company

not a judgement call on him. i just think it's ironic that you have a friend who works for Fox (indirectly)

So, your point is I should disassociate from my friend correct? I'm saying that he was unaware of the truth until this past June so he's not really at fault. Now he says he believes about forty percent of it. Now that he's kind of onboard he says his channel has plenty of freedom. No one from the main office is dictating what the do in San Diego. As far as these local affiliates its just money for Murdoch. The twenty four hour channels are more a means of controlling people opinions.

Back to the forty percent thing. His wife is fully a believer now. He's not really interested in politics so he watches these documentaries with one eye on the tv while walking around the house chasing the kid, the dog, etc. He just wants to live his simple life and surf.

not at all. i'm just saying it's ironic (and humorous, to me) that you, KOK, have a friend who works with FOX

that would be like if you told me you had a friend who worked for the anti-Bigfoot society.

it just doesn't compute
