I think it's very strong and has many melodic layers. How anyone can say it lacks melody I just don't understand. |

i can see how a handful of songs on the previous 3 albums can be said to lack a strong melody, but most of them are typical radiohead songs.
and i hate to say it, but john mayer covered the song "kid a" and, surprise surprise, it's a typical song, basics and all.

The new album is absolutely beautiful. Radiohead has truly made their mark.

There are some fantastic tracks and some weaker tracks that pass by me (on first few listens) on this, but, I'd put it on a par with Kid A.
How anyone can say there are no melodies on this....jeez, they need a new pair of ears.
Reckoner is just a beautiful, wonderful, mesmerising song.

haven't listened to much radiohead since amnesiac, but after paying 10 bucks for it, and listening to it for a week , i'd say it was well worth it. |

in rainbows in the car, in the gym, in the office, in the pub, in the pool hall, in the headphones, in bed, in the morning, in the evening, in the shower, in church, in therapy sessions, in you, in me, in Kanye, in 50 cent, in the white house, incredible, in the uk, in the usa, in islamabad, in france even, in good times and bad times...that's what friends are for, insightful, indiana, in the deepest ocean...bottom of the sea...your eyes...they turn me, indignant, indira ghandi, in da hood, in mp3 160 kbps, in the name, indeed, in krautrock meets songwriter meets dr. tchock, in the way she moves, in the time it takes to read this, in in in in in, Ok I'm out for now.

that's what i think every time it comes on. i really liked All I Need (the bass line and the cymbals all over the place are what got me in The National Anthem as well) and Reckoner (i really enjoy playing this on the guitar, develops nicely, sort of like playing Street Spirit), the others are catching up.
i paid the equivalent of 5 euros
