I lived a substantial portion of my life in Lowell Massachusetts and the first time I ever heard that expression was from my cousin Joy from Tyngsboro Mass. She was twelve I guess and we went to visit and she suddenly had this rebellious tween personality. She was trying to be cool and kept saying "wicked this" or "wicked that".

We went home and were like what's with the "wicked" stuff? We were from Mass. and had never even heard it. That was around 1980.

So, it's my contention that that expression started in a small hickish lake town in northern Massachusetts around 79 or 80.

And it was popularized by members of the KOK bloodline.

My favorite Massachusetts-ism is calling everybody Chief or Chiefy. I had a buddy from Foxboro who said that all the time. About 10 years ago, I went to a wedding in Massachusetts (in Danvers) and had to stop for directions, and the guy in the gas station greeted me, "Hey, Chiefy, you look lost." He used the same kind of friendly aggression that my buddy always did. It's sort of like New Yorkers, except more inviting and less brusque.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

I've never heard that one. In Lowell many people are like "what's up kid? Even if your forty. "What's up kid?"

Quick biscuit! I know you need a $240.00 back pack! Who doesn't?
Burton Amp Pack
$59.95
75% off
Reg. $239.90

Why go back to school with a boxy backpack you got at the BigBox Mart? The Burton Amp Pack not only carries your books and laptop, but it also features a remote on the shoulder strap that controls your iPod. A padded pocket holds that little white wonder, and Burton's SOFTswitch remote system gives you complete control of your playlists. The Amp works with up to Generation 4 iPods that have a Post Headphone Jack (which is the little slot next to the headphone port), but it's not compatible with new iPods (including Nano, Shuffle, and Video iPod). Slip your 15-inch laptop into the easy-access side-entry computer sleeve and throw a couple textbooks in the main compartment. *Available for US Shipment Only.

I don't mind being called hon, or kid; I love being called chief- makes me feel cool.

What I don't like is being called by my first name at the bank- Mr. _____ will be fine. ( I'd never say anything though, they mean well and I'm not a dick )

that's actually a pretty cool site KOK. if you were patient enough, you could buy an entire wardrobe of clothing really cheap. as long as you tend to dress like a 14-year old skateboarder.

which i do.

I have a pretty kick ass wardrobe thanks to that site. All the kiddies at the the skate park are jealous.

They pretty much are for skaters, snow-boarders and surfers. Most of the clothing is skate style though.

Some amazing Snowboard deals on there if you do that.

No, I haven't been there but my friend was a few weeks back.

I live in Los Osos (hence no ramen) which is the south side of Morro Bay. We have the best park in the county. They are requiring everyone to wear full pads so most of the time I have the place to myself. It's great.

You ever been up this way?

This is my side of town from "Montana de Oro" state park. I mountain bike up there, although not lately.

When you have time you need to get off at Route 1 in Slo and go up the coast through Big Sir. You can get back on 101 up around Carmel.

It's actually not officially a town so to that extent you are correct.

Here's my Big Sir photo offering. If you go one mile past Gorda you'll see a dirt Road going up the side of the mountain (Willow Creek road). This picture was taken 14 or so miles up that road.

There was a pair of skinnies on Whiskey Militia a few days ago, but they took it off right when I first saw it, so I got that alert thing every time they put something up, and that breaking glass noise scared the s*** out of me, so I made it Frank saying "HEY!".

thanks KOK.

I could kill you sure, but I could only make you cry with these words...

Don't buy the skinnies! Buy some fatties and we can look like twins.

I just read your review for this...

Takes some getting used to
Just tried this. Right out of the box I was intimidated, it looks bigger in person :P My high button for the rabbit didn't work. I was kinda disappointed with that. Not only that, but it's LOUD. I live with a good number of other people and believe me... I'm sure they'd hear it if they were attentive! Honestly I couldn't feel the head, but I haven't had anything that big in me in a while so I think it'll take some getting used to. So advice to those who haven't used something this big in a while, Take it slow... Give it another try. So besides the loudness and the button not working I'd say it's quite a fine toy for the price. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for! If you do take a liking to it try moving up to something better later on :D
