I never realized Bob Mould was gay. Never been that big into Mould, but I saw read the part about Rehobeth beach, he seems to really like that place, me living a few minutes away from I completely hate it, it's not that it's a gay resort it's more that it's just a horrible place with ridiculous traffic. More importantly why do good musicians visit Rehobeth and none will play there? The last decent show that wasn't some jazz b-act in Rehobeth was Fugazi over ten years ago for one show.

It's a great song, and from what I've heard (ahem!) of the new album, it's a massive improvement on Modulate. You going to see him kathryn? Unfortunately he's only playing London in the UK :(
Mumble mumble something blah blah and feeling sad has dissipated And I don't have a clue where to start You wouldn't let me near you So I settled for the fear that you'd be happy with me 6 feet in the ground I will something when your mouth defends me circles and tramples around beneath me I feel paralyzed almost every time you come around to meet me
I feel paralyzed almost every time you come around to meet me something something Bob why can't you pronounce things clearly? I wish for things that sadly have come true So if we're trying to make it right and if I found my appetite I'd eat away at all the pain I seem to bring to you
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics
Just listened again, could it be "I will crash when your mood defeats me", that probably fits better. I don't know for sure, I'm just giving my best shot.

Depends what you think it's about I guess. I was intially for the not being able to do anything when you see someone your completely smitten by theme. I'm not sure now. I'm starting to be taken by it being about depression and dealing with it in other people, or other people dealing with it in you (within a relationship) A bit like Radiohead's Blackstar. Or maybe it's about blancmange. I'm terrible at analysing lyrics meanings.

I like them. The song brings a bit of Modulate, but in a far better way.. The synths aren't out of place at all. In all, it's quite an 'up' song, which the synths kind of add to - well, if you ignore the lyrics.
I've got a live version on my HD which has no synths, I think it's just Bob playing solo with an electric guitar, and it's great too. That's where I managed to figure out some of the lyrics from. Would you like it?

Um. I have DSL. Is that anything related to broadband? I have a Mac. Can they play .flac files? I am a reluctant luddite with little tech knowledge. I sent you an email, btw.

After the tour in support of his 1998 solo album, "The Last Dog and Pony Show," Bob Mould was prepared to never hit the road with a full band again. But the former Husker Du/Sugar leader will return to full rock glory during the fall tour in support of his upcoming album, "Body of Song," due July 26 via Yep Roc.
The trek will begin Sept. 4 in Dublin and will touch down in North America Sept. 22 in Chapel Hill, N.C. Dates are on tap through Oct. 15 in Los Angeles. Mould will also play a handful of solo shows this summer, including a set Sunday (June 12) at Washington, D.C.'s Gay Pride Weekend, and July 3 at Minneapolis' Taste of Minnesota Festival.
Mould will be backed on the road by Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty, bassist Jason Narducci and keyboardist Richard Morel, also Mould's cohort in the electronica-heavy project Blowoff.
Mould promises the set lists will feature material from throughout his career as a solo artist and with Husker Du and Sugar. "I will play stuff from all eras for the first time with people," he tells Billboard.com, adding that fans can expect to hear such tracks as Sugar's "Changes" and Mould's "Lost Zoloft." "I'm sort of taking ownership back of my songs."
"Jason, who is really familiar with the entire catalog, has already suggested about 25 songs, and he's pretty close to the ones I think would be good," Mould continues. "I would probably say [it will include] half of the new record, and the rest will be the songs people will want to hear. I think it will also be the ones that work the best with what we're trying to do. If we pull a song up and Brendan's not feeling it, I don't want to play it. But we'll take a shot at everything."
Beyond the regular CD version, "Body of Song" will be available in a limited-edition double-disc package housed in an embossed leatherette box. The second disc will include two Morel remixes of "(Shine Your) Light Love Hope," a Mould remix of "Paralyzed" and six non-album tracks. "Those range from solo acoustic at home to overproduced rock/dance rock tracks," Mould says with a chuckle.
Before the fall tour, Mould and Morel are hoping to finish their debut Blowoff album for an early 2006 release. The duo DJs twice a month at Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club and has been incorporating an ever-growing catalog of original music into the proceedings.
"We have an album finished, but I think we can do better," Mould says. "I think we need to write four more good songs. There's some stuff that is house-y and some stuff that is rock. There's some breezy, '60s pop and some darker, downtempo things. It's all over the place. There's a lot of guitars and a lot of double vocals. Everything is 50/50 as far as writing. No outside collaborators."
Mould is particularly enthusiastic about the tracks "Hormone Love" ("Rich had a sketch for a real rock song and I totally pounded it into a big, Sugar-y type of thing") and "Overload" ("That easily could have made 'Body of Song. It has a house-y beat but it has some real blues-y, Joni Mitchell guitar going on").
