Shh...

Good grief, I'm too confused to be any kind of effective god.

Wait, I get it, LBF deleted his post. Right? Tell me I'm right or my head might explode.

bedrock barney: i only meant misguided b/c i thought you were just wanting to know if anyone was going to be able to visit the museum. I didn't mean it was misguided to begin with. sorry if i didnt make myself clear on that one.

pixiesteve, i dont think the burden of proof lies with christian's to prove the existence of God. We don't need to prove it b/c we do not doubt His existence. As i see it, some scientists want to prove his non-existence, but fail to do so.

I do think about God everyday. I talk to God everyday. And it is sad that in the 100+ posts that no one has posted about their belief in God or any other religion they believe in and if you have then i am sorry i didnt catch it. I am happy that there were some forum members who defended me even though they don't believe the way i do. friends like that are hard to come by. Even if it is just on the forum. And if you insulted me on this thread for what i believe, that is ok because you didn't break me. i still defended what i believe in spite of you. and i always will.

Don't listen to the creepy Frenchman awestruck, he's being a butthead, as it were.

This sort of thing has come up before (see the aforementioned 'personal evolution' thread, and one from a long time back about the banning of the 10 Commandments from a courtroom. Beware bedrock_barney was a on a personal mission to mock my God, or so he told me), and as such I've not weighed in to any of the arguments simply because they're just that. Arguments in which no side is going to persuade or dissuade the other, it ends up getting very smug and self-righteous so I consciously take myself out of these situations. On the record though, I'm a fully paid-up God botherer.

however, while a few of us have been through these discussions before on here, it's nice to see if anyone can bring a different perspective. I'm not sure if the religious/politician slant has come up before this thread, but that has suddenly become very topical in Scotland.

Simon - as it is nearly midnight here and I am trying to work my way through a particulary fine bottle of Tulbagh Mountain Syrah Mourvedre I shall have to bid you farewell and leave you with the last insult of the day.

Don't knock the wine box. Its popularity is on the rise! If there is wine in heaven, surely it will be in boxes.

Hmm, I don't know where to start with this. I just want to say I've spent a great deal of time reading this thread from the beginning and think awestruck's attitude is pretty much similar to mine. That's it really, just felt I had to contribute to this interesting thread (yes, I realise a post like this makes it considerably less interesting).

Also, for my next contribution:

LBF and awestruck show: 1/50
all 3 show: 1/100

KSR gets arrested: 1/8
awestruck cries: 10/1
KSR and LBF drink over 20 beers: 8/1
Either KSR or LBF puke: 8/1
LBF loses grasp on reality: 1/1
