I was driving and listening to "Gouge Away" and appreciating how bad ass it is. I wish I knew the song in high school so I could have vented all my teenage angst on it.
What are Frank's most bad ass song? Teeth grinding, fist through the wall, scary, etc. Many Pixies songs fall under this category so maybe solo Frank answers would be more interesting...Frank brightened up a lot when he went solo, but surely he retained some bad assness.

Debaser I don't think is bad ass. It's a happy, feel good sound to it. It makes you want to run in the park. My friend made a movie of someone running in the park and put "Debaser" under it and it was like the happiest movie ever made. "Bad ass" is not feel good, it's more like..."feel pissed off"
Solid Gold is a PERFECT example!!! Something Against You also.

Of course I've heard of it...I know every Frank Black song. And wouldn't that song be easier to find on the "Oddballs" instead of a hard to find Men in Black single?
It is kind of bad ass...but it doesn't reach that next mind blowing level the way a lot of the other songs mentioned here.
