On the new commercial for some new Ford automobile called the Edge has a very disturbing thing. Frank doing the jingle at the end.
I just started seeing them last night. I have mostly seen them on Viacom cable networks (MTV, VH1, Com Central) but I am sure it will appear elsewhere soon. |

Haven't seen the add, but if the jingle here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/crossovers/edge/allnew/ is what you are referring to, I'm Pretty sure it's not Frank, just a sound-alike.
EDIT, according to the site the song is called "Miles and Miles" by Dee, whoever the hell that is. |

I'm bummed. I saw this clip a month ago, and of course rushed out to buy the first Ford Edge I could find. Man, it was sweet. It had an engine and seats and everything. Since it was the first one I found, I didn't notice it only had a cassette player. So I rigged up a Discman with a tape converter to listen to my FB while cruising in the new ride. I was driving like a king...
Until I saw this thread. Life as I knew it before has pretty much ended. I've stopped eating, and the Ford has got to complete shit. It was a bird nest last time I checked. I've totally lost faith in fake frank, and frankly, forgotten why I bought the thing in the first place. I've also forgotten the point of this post.
Fake Frank, you win, you got us. I hope you burn... in HELL!!

I thought the Ford and Chevy competition was a southern (USA) thing. Guess not. I wish I didn't even have to drive. Be nice to just ride a bus or something.

LoL... There's only about a half dozen or so 'American' cars in showrooms today that are not bland crap. In general they all suck. so do all those lame stickers and magnetic ' blahblah' ribbons you see everywhere....

So, that wasn't Frank ... but I did just hear a Violent Femmes song ("Blister in the Sun") on a Burger King commercial. It seems to out of place -- but not as much as Spinal Tap's "Gimme Some Money" on an American Express commercial. The irony of that one made me laugh out loud at the gym.
