On the back of the astounding news that Fruit Flies break down fat in a similar way to humans here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/6433463.stm
and that they actually do have something akin to a liver, I had a strange image of insects flying about with invisible livers giving them the aero-ability that their wings can't give them. You know, how insects shouldn't be able to fly.
Here's an artists impression.....
What are your strange imaginations.......artistic representations are encouraged.

I am disappointed in the imagination of strangers :(
c'mon. have a weird thought (which admittedly can't be forced), draw it using MSpaint, host the pic and post it with a description.
It'll be fun. Wooo.

nice topic Alarmarsteve. I don't have paint Em Ess-ness so here's a story, sotospeak:
Record and set about, scrubbed however, and it is the slippery symbolic wipe than anything else, my away this morning ground a cup. Price chic, I said, laying my hand on her leg, squeezing you'll find it easy was high. She had bought herself a new grinder, a boxy keep a of days, slope from Brothers sponged, and you pay for oldworld. I guess silvergreen tingled and jumped involuntarily out of her lap. Then she eyes flaring you-have-got-to-be-joking as she pointed at my hand, which clean place. Miss a couple stuffed, stacked, shone, grounds worth half then on in. I put on a Mills whom cheeks wooden doodad I said. Works about as well too, I suspect is a witch, padded downstairs. The colour in her with an impish. Ayup, tumbledried. At the a final brass crank on top. Doesn't it look like something from the Civil War? she said day and to, scraped, buffed, glued hung so immense I chiselled, wiped, whipped, dusted bit every precise moment I gave the kitchen counter screwed, flung, on the couch. silence flopped down girlfriend fortyfive minutes however, and it is the slippery tossed, teased, hung, cleaning up, a. I swept, mopped of the room. The record ended she said, glid out, and a Ros, she said. Fortyfive count 'em task the equal of Whatsisphus drained, wipe, more a flatmate's I slaved.

That kind of reminds me of A Clockwork Orange, but maybe it's a lazy comparison. Is there method in the madness? I like it, you get more each time you read it. Can I interpret it through the medium of MS Paint?

nice picture Steve, saw some connections you'd made that I hadn't seen in the story.

Allen Ginsberg says you got no soul. The ancient Egyptians say you got seven of these bastards, and Pharaohs got fourteen, what they get for being Pharaohs. |

In the name of stating the obvious, through lack of imagination, my mind brings you
ta-da!
Use at will.
I wanted to post this in vilainde's thread but couldn't bring myself to kick a man while he's down (see http://forum.frankblack.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18049) |

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Can't wait to use this.
EDIT: I just used it. But it occurred to me that, to be really comprehensive about it would be a monumental task. I'd have 9,000+ posts to catch up on, and then I'd have to follow him around the board all the time -- and I mean ALL the time. It might be easier if Carl just made it part of his sig. Love you, Carl.
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |
