the first time i heard doolittle was a treat.

I had heard half the record from downloads but what i hadnt heard was a treat.

Debaser, wave, i bleed, dead, number 13

it didnt knock my socks off as far as surfer rosa did at first but over time it sure has

although please if u are just starting to listen to pixies get bossanova, one of the most beautiful records of all time.

I'm so jealous! I'd give anything to be just discovering the Pixies for the first time. What great memories!!

Yeah, I had the tape handed off to me as well! I never gave it back. Some girls that knew all the good music were talking about Pixies and I said I hadn't heard them, and there were literally aghast that I was missing out. Buddy was like, "oh I have that tape - do you want to borrow it?" The rest is history.
