I've expressed views on here that very much reflect what I believe, but have also made statements I absolutely do not agree with. Sometimes it's for the sake of semi-balanced discussion, others just to be an ass or push buttons. Usually leads to nothing, but I'm sure there are some folks who think I deserve a punch or worse.
Reading that over, I think my stupid thing might be assuming anyone takes it seriously.

I remember trying to participate in the discussions of the close coven of fb.net friends who used to chat in the "henhouse". Not long after, they moaned about how the "henhouse" wasn't cool anymore and they missed how it used to be. Feeling left out of a tight circle of internet nerds is the stupidest thing I've done here.
maybe I'll kick it

I believed the Friend's Club would actually last and thus donated a disproportionate amount of money. I'm glad I donated money, but not nearly as much as I did.

This thread would be much more fun if people listed the stupidest things *other* forum members have done here. For example, there was that time Erebus ...
(Just kidding, E.)
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

It depends on your definition of stupid. Haha no it doesn't, social anxiety dictates that every other word out of my mouth (or fingers)is stupid.

Was one of the aims of the Friends' Club not to raise money so the site could be hosted on a reliable server? If so, your donation is probably still in use...
I guess there was an initial rush of prizes, contests and such which has definitely dissipated.

The stupidest thing I ever did was find out that Floop liked some of the songs on Wilco's album "Summerteeth" beyond a point which he was ready to admit to.

Momma always said, stupid is as stupid does. And that life is like a box of chocolates. The chocolates are nice to eat, and you can keep the box to put little trinkets in afterwards. But eat them before the best before date expires. |
