I vote for a disease that slowly (or maybe quickly) wipes us all out. No one talks about SARS anymore. H5N1 seems to have potential.
Somehow I don't see nuclear war ever happening. But then what do I know about the end of human civilization? Nothing, really.
What do you think?

A geological catclysmic event probably, possibly of a meteorite variety. We're fairly adaptable, so climate change will have to go some to wipe us out.
Saying that, there's a difference between wiping out human civilization and wiping out humans altogether.

Human "civilization", such as every healthy, thigh-worshipping, heterosexual, Western male may ever have envisioned it, will have ended when the grandaughters of our pathologically Bush-Halliburton bashing, morally self-agrandizing ubermoralists find themselves in a world wherein locally-elected, Islamically-dominated, town councils somehow divine within themselves the wisdom to ban public view of the female body. That’s my vision of where the post-modernist advocate of tolerance-uber-alles is taking us, my idea of where “civilization” is headed, and my conception of hell, as well as a logical consequence of present-day leftwing social policies. I don’t much like Bush myself, but I suspect he’s more pro-miniskirt than are his enemies, er, opponents. Suffice to say, I don’t mind glimpsing the female thigh, even if only as a side effect of the miniskirt, mind you. Pardon me ladies, with compliments.

p.s. I thought “miniskirt” was hyphenated, but my dictionary says it is not, as it simlarly says of “minibike”.

funny how folk calling themselves left and right argue over the best way to worship the same system, until someone challenges the system itself. reminds me a little of Catholics and Protestants arguing over how to worship the same Christian god, but if a Jew or Muslim challenges Christianity itself the Catholic and Protestant will immediately forget their disagreements and join forces to defend it.
