Any pirate radio fans on the forum? Do you remember Alan Maxwell (KIPM)?
He put together these wild science fiction, existential radio shows that blew my mind. I've got four of his shows on CD, and I'm looking to collect more.
I have:
1. The Existential Show 2. The Twin Poles of Eternity 3. Alan Maxwell's Talking Mushroom 4. The Evil Show
These shows are amazing, and I think a lot of you guys would love them. Alan put a lot of timme into them, but has since retired.
The only guy like that I was ever familiar with was Joe Frank on NPR, no pirate stations that I know of. Joe had an incredibly creative show that has long since been off the air as far as I know. Basically a master storyteller who infused all kinds of absurd, fascinating and dark angles into his program. He should still have his website with all these tales logged, unfortunately I believe you need to subscribe to the site to hear them.
