Trying to find who's who... Based on the people playing on Christmass, I'd say it's Dan Prindle on bass. But that's a wild guess really.

I think Denis was referring to THIS site (frankblack.net) being officially dead. As for blackfrancis.net, as I recall, that's been around for a few months, but nothing has happened with it. Wasn't it listed on the Frank Black Mog?
And where ARE Brian and Dean and the new podcast? Did they know about all this, and they were holding back until The Man broke the news? Was the death of Brian's computer a fabrication? (For his sake, I hope it was.)

You know, if you just gotta worship within the Pantheon of rock, a guy or gal could do a hell of a lot worse than Frank, or Black, or whatever he wants to call himself. We get the "automatic writing" as simple playfullness, if I'm right in recalling what somebody called it, and we get the custom announcement. There are few icons so indulgent of their fans, with of all people his "cousin" Kristin Hersh being one of the others so exceptional. Sometimes it's actually is good to be alive.

Music makes it good to be alive. Especially FB (or BF) music.
I actually questioned to myself whether or not I wanted to bring a child into the world, and sharing music (and hockey) is what made me really want to do it. I just hope he likes the rock, or I don't know what I'll do with myself. If he ends up likeing Justin Timberlake type crap, I'll be heartbroken!

That reminds me when some user revealed a bunch of news songs names (like "Edgard" and the one about Nessy) that had nothing to do with the ones that finally appeared.
But dont want to be doubtfull because I'd actually love to hear 3 Frankblackfrancispixies albums this year. WITH that phantom song about edgar poe! Or maybe he could go for an audio DVD of 150 songs.
More seriously, couldnt this Black Francis album with his wife and friends playing on it be some sort of continuation of the great youtube videos he made, a do-it-yourself project recorded with home computers ??? And the studio album would be with Feldman? |
