The comment about their being "no small people." I guess thats not definite, but I think it is a pretty good indication. |

So after all of that - nothing now. I'm a bit disappointed. Even if we heard nothing from Frank over the weekend, it was fun reading the various theories. Does anyone have any new interpretations of Frank's messages now that Saturday has passed? |

I didn't buy the "Frank's gonna post on Saturday" theory. That part of Frank's post is rather cryptic. "general admittingness of the night of saturday" looks like "General admission on Saturday nights" but I have no idea of what he's referring to.
That said... we want updates! Even if it's in pig-latin! (actually that would be much easier to understand)

Also, stop saying frnk didn't mean there won't be a new Pixies album in his cryptic riddle. I am all about a new Pixies album now after this long haul of not knowing if the Pixies were reuniting, then reuniting, not sure how to feel about it, seeing them twice, loving it, accepting it, and now wanting to taste some new Pixie love.
Running "Pixies" through Babelfish in both directions yields "Pixies". Perhaps there's 1 or 2 other languages involved, or perhaps "little people" in fact doesn't refer to Pixies. Hmm? Hmm?

Well, the excitement sure has fizzled since FB's two intriguing posts earlier in this thread. Give us a little more, Frank. Even if it's in that weird English. Or Japanese.

Holy crap. "Made the cows the solemn oaths"? "Have it with the Spanish cocaine returned go noiseless"?
I don't even know where to start with this one. I almost think he is pasting text from a book into Babelfish and then translating it back - and that there are no clues here.
Anyone have any ideas? |

OK, but how did the lion learn how to open the doors? He's thinking its a war and he does a communication game just like a dog. Each time he goes from one room to another he touches me with his soft hand and I m frightened cos its a bloody big lion. Meanwhile, my girlfriend's hand is a remote control from the real world so i m safe. |

It's something to do with Pixies trying to record and I can't tell if he's saying Kim is delaying things or is on her way into the sessions or what. I think they might be recording in some distant locale. Them's my two's ants. There's clearly some limbo involved. Maybe the stick is too low?
Thnks frnk fr th nwst instllmnt. Kp m cmn' (pls).

I can't understand a damn thing he's saying. But I do have a hunch he's not writing from Oregon. This latest post was made at 6:20 a.m. Oregon time. Seems a bit early for him to be posting -- unless he's in, say, the Netherlands, where that would have been the middle of the afternoon. Not sure that means much, other than it's plausible that he's in Europe.
frnck_blck's other posts in this thread were made at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Oregon time -- or 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Amsterdam time, if you happen to believe he's recording a Pixies album called "Blue Finger."
None of this means much, but the time is a clue to keep in mind.

This last installment has at least one generation of German and perhaps an additional Dutch one. Maybe he or his wife or Kim or a kid is in an Isala hospital in Zwolle? "My blood" (eerder="actually" I think) refers to family? "Returned" in "returned go noiseless" could come from a translation glitch with the Spanish "revolver" (to turn back/return) + silencer ("go noiseless") which would fit in with Pepperbox (revolver) with a silencer. "Made the cows the solemn oaths" might refer to signing a contract with a major label. He is possibly unsure whether it was a good choice, but Kim? said "major label or no record"? So eventually he gave in; "corresponds with my door" might mean "fits my M.O." He uses that wording multiple times. He might be wondering if signing with a major label is really a Frank Black kind of thing to do?
Or is he in rehab? Is there a rehab center in the Isala clinics? ("came me at the surface, and I have myself each decrease drunk went through the pressure balance chamber door and received on the course (along the way)".
Blah blah blah.

Oh, and blauerFinger is apparently a German sex toy. Eh?
Also, from signing a lot of documents, one might come out of it with a blue finger, either from ink or from bruising?

Looks like lyrics to me (of a song called, say, "Blue Finger"). I wouldn't look too much into it. Notice the abundance of commas, which is how Frank often writes his lyrics.

I don't think so. There are few commas at the beginning, and many at the end. If the commas were part of lyrics, you'd see them evenly distributed -- assuming you mean he uses them to denote the end of each line.
EDIT: After the fifth weird post, I'm coming back to suggest I was totally wrong. Yeah, maybe they're lyrics. Especially this one with the "threshold of the threshold of the threshold."
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

Denis is sort of right - it's quite clear that Frank's slowly leaking, track by track, the lyrics to a new concept album the Pixies are recording as a tribute to Blue Finger candies. Jeez, you guys, how obvious could he be?

In the beginning of this third "message" it seems like he's been in a skiing accident after stopping for drinks every once in awhile on the way down. "top" as in mountain, "cocaine" could be snow etc. Family holiday to coincide with the recording, like the touring last year? A baby is mentioned, Violet's solo project in an earlier one.
Are they married, btw? All that about solemn vows, choice etc...The second one looked like he produced and played guitar on a Dunmore album recorded in Zwolle (or maybe a stage show), but now I'm more confused. And most entertained. |
