After all my bitchin' and moanin' I finally got my Chrismtass cd yesterday. I'm reading through the booklet, and I noticed something odd. Some of the songs were credited as written by Black Francis, and they weren't the Pixies songs.

Demon Girl
Radio Lizards
Don't Get Me Wrong
The Water
So, any idea what that's about? Were they originally written 15+ years ago? Were/are they "demos" for new Pixies tunes? Is it just a publishing rights issue?
