But it seems like we could give it a little more time to settle on a title/close voting. Especially since this forum seems to get less traffic on the weekends (or maybe that's just my imagination.)

| I agree that we should have some more time to decide this. In fact, we must be able to find something better than the 2 choices so far. My buzz on those two wore out pretty fast. Out of all the incredible lyrics the Man has wrote, we can find something, hmmmm, maybe a little less cute sounding?? Just off the top of my mind right now, The Sum Of Our Stretto. |

Yeah, there haven't been enough suggestions thrown out yet. And also I think we should list all the suggestions so far (and those yet to come). Having to mainly chose from 2 suggestions which are both derivatives of the same song title is kind of limiting. I know we can vote for others, but that's like when you vote for president of the USA, and there are the main candidates listed, and then there is a space where you can write in "OTHER," even though there is no way in hell that "other guy" is gonna win.

| We had lots of time to think about it prior to even starting this thread, lots of time after this thread was posted, and so forth, but I have to give my art guys enough time to do there thing. This thread hadn't even been posted on in two days until I said, "OK, looks like that's it". Monday is plenty of time to decide and/or think and I've got nothing against people changing their choice. The Sum of Our Stretto isn't bad either, but my choice stands. |

OK, I was thinking about this, and I'll give you all until Monday to post other suggestions, and then whichever ones seem the most popular we can put to vote. We will have decided by Wednesday then, which should still give our artist(s) time to come up with something cool. So keep the suggestions coming, and be sure to offer feedback on which suggestions you like/don't so we know which ones to include in the vote.
Hopefully that makes you all happy and I can continue to be revered my various allies, friends, and cult members. |

just so's you all know - i haven't done a damn thing about the artwork for this yet. i was honored to be asked and am excited to participate, but i'm working six days a week right now, so...
what's the time frame on this project, anyway? how soon would everyone like to see proofs of the artwork? hey - don't pass me by, but don't prod me either! ;^P

| Wouldn't expect either you or Faskner (or anyone else interested) to start the artwork until we have a title. We're looking at having the songs done and submitted to myself by July 1, and then hopefully a final track list decided within a few days, some final editing/balancing/whatever to make the thing cohesive, and done by July 15 or so. The bulk of the artwork could be done once the final name is chosen, and then just add the track list later in a week or so. |

Ok, so, You Aint Me is my final vote, even after saying we should give it more time. Stupid me. Hey... how bout "Stupid Us" for the title? ...Nah.
I think "We Ain't He" might start to get annoying-sounding after a while. But You Ain't Me wont get annoying because, well, it hasn't gotten annoying after 6 years. It's simple, because it's straight up the name of a song, but it's also clever.

They're our versions of Mr Black's songs so shouldn't the title be from the contributors point of view?

That's what everyone hearing the songs will be saying anyway.
It's what I'm telling myself as I work on my version of He's song.

Yeah, so I kind of have been busy starting work this week and have dropped the ball a little on the whole ordeal, so we'll close submissions now (instead of on Monday) and we'll do voting until Monday (instead of today). Let's start fresh on the voting, so even if you've voted somewhere previously, vote again (I'm only going to count from here forward). You can vote for any name that has been suggested thus far, but I think the main contenders are:
