| Turn off the emailing proxy, and add a custom profile field for public email addresses. This way, the user can have the option of adding a "junk" email address not associated with the email address used to register with the forums, aka, real email addresses, which they can check on occasion for legitimate emails. Alot of forums are using this strategy. |

Yeah, it's a funny site.
I've added a block that Derek proposed requiring new members to have at least one post before spamming. That should stop this latest round of attacks in its tracks.
