I am very fond of RIESEN.

My friend and I went for a long walk last night. We took a shortcut home through the woods, came back to my house, talked for a little while, drank milk, and ate Riesen candy. Yet another great weekend. |

I've never been a big fan of Riesen. One thing I have always liked though is:

One of my faves. Much better than the chocolate ones.

They have peanut Smarties now. All biblical references to this being a sign of the apopocalypse have been removed by the Smarties Coroporation. I don't really eat candy, but if I did I would likely be all over the Aero with Vanilla Yogurt and the Aero with caramel. Actually, I'd probably just about anything with caramel in it.

Why haven't we had any of these over here? The originals were our inventions.

Those gummy razberries, there are black ones & red ones and they have these dots all over them.
Bottle Caps, Runts
Smarties (US), Gummy Bears
Cadbury Mini Eggs, Peeps, Popcorn Bunnies
Peanut M&Ms
Pop Rocks
s wrenn, when I went to Ireland there were these really good candy bars w/ caramel and peanuts, they had a one-word name, and I think Cadbury made them. Does that sound familiar? I spent half of my travel money on them. |

It was hardly a Moro was it?
It doesn't have peanuts though, but there is a Moro Peanut, see here
 No?
Could you pick it out of a candy bar line up? There's a list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadbury-Schweppes

It's hardly a candy, but we ate this everywhere in argentina - Dulce De Leche : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulce_de_leche It's so sweet it can make you sick - but extremely addictive. You get it for breakfast - and dessert. Try a pancake filled with dulce - yes! If you have the chance, try some argentinian dulce de leche ice cream - i have never, never ever, ever, tasted anything as good (by the way - their ice cream is world class - trust me, I eat a lot of it:). I can't get it here - horrible, but maybe just as well.I gained 5 kg the first 3 weeks in Buenos Aires - Dulce was the reason.

not a Moro.
Galway, Limerick, Cork.
I'm thinking it had a descriptive name, and I liked saying it. It just won't come to me. This is killing me.
Thank you, though. I checked it out but nothing jumped out at me. |

Yeah , Limerick, you'll find me in that corner. Damn it! You've got my brain tortured with this. I'll have to have a good look in some shops tomorrow to see if anything clicks with me.

My girlfriend was from Cappamore, near The Big Apple. She took me to where she had studied; I forget now if it was mainly an art school or not. I liked Limerick, but I remember Galway having better record stores.
One thing about Galway ( and all of Ireland, really )that was creepy was all the missing posters and pictures of college kids everywhere. Especially since we were hitchhiking around.
It was cool that wherever we went and people asked where I was from ( I lived on the cape ) everyone knew it exactly "Oh, you live out near the Kennedys." |

Oh, maybe it is, actually. I never thought of that.
I'd just like to add that Moro(/Boost?) bars are the most disgusting things ever.

If it's the same as a Boost then it must be mightily delicious.

Yeah, Boost is Moro. It's just called Moro over here so people won't think that British bars are occupying Irish sweet shops unjustfully.
I second that Moro's are delicious.
My only conclusion is Picnic, Jimmy.
 But it has raisins.
