I suspect those transfers will be investigated at some point.
Something isn't quite right.

Just got back from Mallorca. Whilst there I heard that Chimbonda had finally left for £5 million to go to Tottenham, which is too much but I'm not complaining. I'm just glad he's finally gone.
And on an unrelated note I just noticed that I left for my holiday as = Cult of Ray = and have come back as * Dog in the Sand * without posting. Weird.

maybe they've changed the qualifying numbers....I thought it changed around 1240. Messing with our minds.
I didn't even realise Chimbonda had gone. We got Vennegor of Hesselink and Gravesen \o/

Both very good signings for Celtic. Time to get back to the top of the league where they belong now.

Whatya mean? We are top of the league.
How did you feel about Man Utd turning down Mascherano(who apparently has said Veron told him bad things about SAF)? And no interest in Tevez? To similar to Rooney maybe?

Oh yeah, I had the table upside down.
I forgot to look after the last results, when they weren't top. Anyway, good-o!
There is more to these Argie deals than was apparent at first. I was a bit miffed at first about Mascherano, especially as we could have had him on loan, but from what we are hearing now, there seems something a little dodgy about the whole affair.
The thing I am most gutted about now is Bayern not letting Hargeaves go, but then you can understand why not.
I am not sure Tevez and Rooney could have played together, and the man himself said that he wasn't sure he would have gotten regular football at one of the bigger clubs.
Like Veron, they could both turn out to be huge dissapointments yet.

I can't believe I missed so many of my own team's signings. We've got Kevin Kilbane, Svetoslav Toderov, Andy Webster and some 18 year old from Bristol City, David Cotterill.
It's too bad for Man United they didn't get Hargreaves. He had another good game for England on Saturday.

To be honest I'd never heard of him. Doubt he'll have much to do with the first team this season unless there are a few injuries. The rest of the signings seem pretty good. I think Toderov is on loan here for a season. Andy Webster is a great signing.

Non prem, but WTF : Don't you think the Germans could have given some other players a look the other day? Maybe they felt the regulars needed some practice...

it's a grand old team to play for, it's a grand old team to support, and if, you know, your history, it's enough to make your heart go wooooooow
we don't care what the red shite say, what the fuck do we care? 'cos we only know that there's gonna be a show, and the Everton boys will be there

Funniest goal I've seen for a while. There are usually only a few moments a season as funny as that. It reminded me of something Roy Carroll did against Man City back in Division 2. I didn't find that as funny.

I'd love to but I've decided that £33 for a ticket is taking the piss. It's simply too dear. Looks like I'm gonna have to stick to home games only this season.
Everton are playing very well at the moment. I'd be thrilled if we could nick a point.

Yeah thats fair enough, it is fucking ridiculous. Saying that, I've just forked out £31 for my ticket. Im taking my little cousin so Im going to be encouraging him to hurl abuse at your pie-munching lot!
Oh and Mike, I was close to tears. I embraced a fully grown man next to me, who I didn't know from Adam, simply because he was wearing an Everton shirt. You must have been close to tears back in 99 'when Solskjaer prodded the ball home in Barcelona? Its a funny old game...

I have only cried for England, when we lost to Germany on penalties in 1990. I was only 13 though.
'99 was more like complete mental breakdown. I went utterly loopy.

It's more taking comfort in the heartwarming memories of the road to finally winning the cup. First and till now last time since I was old enough to follow football. I'm sure Stuart Pearce and Chris Waddle share your pain, though... |

Stu, I have to say your fans are some of the most annoying I have some across. Never heard so many Soccer AM chants in all my life.
Other than that, good game, but we really should have won it. We were just too sloppy at the back.

Tell me about it, I have to put up with it all the time. Still, I'd rather them be there than not, it's not as if Wigan is a club who can afford to turn fans away is it?
I watched the game on some internet thingy. Technical difficulties for the first 15 minutes so they were just showing shots of the crowd. I was certain that I saw you!
The first half was dominated by Everton but without anything worth mentioning. I thought the second half was a bit better, mainly because we actually tried to make a game of it.
Overall I'm happy with a point but it wouldn't have been unfair had you won it.

Haha I wonder if it was me. I was wearing my Everton shirt (like that helps) and a brown jacket. My sister was sat on my right in an everton hoodie and some random ginge guy on my left.
Yeah overall, not an amazing game but a lot of positives for both sides to take from the game. Johnson still banging them in for us, and here was me bemoaning his transfer fee...

With 30 odd thousand people in the ground it would be a big coincidence if it was you! The guy I saw was sat on the front row I think, might have been in the second tier.

It was called MaxTV online www.max-tv.be and it was all in French so I really do hope I haven't accidentally paid anything! As of yesterday it's failed to work at all though. Plus I doubt the Carling Cup would be shown.
It's pretty much useless now, I've uninstalled it.

I think the one I mentioned might still work but the channel that was on it showing the live football doesn't. I think it was called Setanta Sports.
There were plenty other sports channels from around the world on it but I don't think any had live games. I noticed a few highlights programmes though.

Nice one, guy. Watching it now.
I would've gone to Crewe tonight but I have tickets to see the Bluetones in Wigan. The Bluetones have postponed so now I'm not watching them or Wigan...
...suppose Everton will have to do
